Chain shot was a centuries-old ammunition type, loaded into a single cannon, and was good for knocking out rigging (and sailors), and pretty decent at chewing up masts. But it was not a guaranteed damage, the actual length of chain was a couple feet, so the area of effect was small. Also, fairly inaccurate.

Noma is a norwegian word that means 'Rich idiots will eat anything if we charge enough for it'. If not, it will come to mean that.

The Academy Awards are, and for quite some time now, have been, a joke. They give awards to actors for so-so movies because back in the year that actor made a really good movie they gave it to someone else. They're now constantly playing catch-up.

Yep. Medieval 2 Total War has a total conversion for Warhammer. There's also a LOTR total conversion called Third Age Total War. Videos can be searched for on youtube. I'm too lazy to look them up.

You speak of Rome 2? No. Glitchy Train Wreck would be better than what Rome 2 was.

There were at least a couple mods for Medieval 2 that were total conversions to warhammer. Fairly well received too. This is an utterly safe move for Sega/CA. Now if CA can just learn how to code battle AI. And hopefully Games Workshop forces Sega to properly test and polish the game, unlike the launch of Rome 2.

I cannot unlike your post enough.

Since this was always intended as a multiplayer game, the lack of inclusion of an offline mode is perfectly acceptable. It is NOT the same thing as Simcity (lol cloud AI computing). Not wanting to be tethered to the internet always is perfectly valid as a decision maker, but it is increasingly the way things are

Considering that the project built and scrapped several different gameplay systems repeatedly, and was eventually canned in a very unfinished state, what is there is probably not playable. Furthermore, CCP still owns the rights, and might get around to being competent someday, and want to give the WoD MMO another go.

Several months ago, I and the ex-CEO of my last corp in Eve (after a nine-year stretch of playing with two six-month breaks in the middle) were bullshitting on teamspeak, reminiscing about Eve. We pulled up our killboard, because we got to wondering: What was the ratio of fun to drudgery?

This is a parody of the F2P games of today, using an older game to show how silly/bad F2P can get. This is not a 'reimagining' of pac-man for the sake of love of pac-man (which was pretty awesome, in the arcades of my youth).

I did stop pre-ordering, I got burned by this years ago. I pre-ordered Empire: Total War. After the success of previous titles (the original Rome is still a shining jewel, and Medieval 2 is no slouch) I was stoked for some Age of Sail action, replete with naval real time battles for the first time, and

Well, this is always the pattern with Total War. You get a main 'era' game; Rome, Medieval, Empire, Shogun.

Dangerous. This time the kids got lucky. But if Combat Carl is doing tank drops to warn children about the dangers of dropping tanks on children, eventually, some poor kid is going to trip, and then it's raspberry jelly on the screen time.

...And what, pray tell, is he supposed to DO about that poison? It's a cultural problem, not solely relegated to his fan-dom. Trust me, there's plenty of people who either don't care for, or haven't heard of, pewdiepie, who are equally if not more poisonous. He's just a famous youtuber who attracted a lot of that

This is absolutely 80's. Also kind of on the creep side, yeah.

Wasn't Hudson one of the two guys who locked themselves away in a closed room and wrote the worst ending to a great series, ever?

Creative Assembly is touting the AI in this game? Oooooh, go watch some of the day 1 reviews from some of the hardcore fans of Total War: Rome 2. The game was incredibly broken at launch, most issues being the AI.

Eve players are not running this. The developer is running the charity, and has strict rules against any scam attempt related to the charity. Players can donate already-bought PLEX (30-day game time items) and will be matched by the developer.

Um. CCP (the developer/publisher) are matching player donations.
