They’re just setting up the McGuffin and secondary villain for the final season of The Boys. There’s now a superweapon that can kill all the supes on Earth (assuming they use it on someone like A-Train, who will spread the infection all over) and Neumann has it.

They could honestly put this plot back on the shelf for

At the end of season one, He Who Remains literally says something about it he dies, the lokis will replace him. I think this season is loki settling in to the realization that he wasn't wrong. Hiddleston has truly done an amazing job selling that part of his character

I think part of that may be the point? She was taken from her timeline so early, at such a young age, that that world is completely foreign and unknown. Who knows what was supposed to happen there? It's been pruned and eliminated from existence. Fucking tragic

Ditto Mobius, for that matter

...for Majors?

If you enjoy The Boys I think you would enjoy this as well.

Yeah, the show could definitely stand to have a little more exploration of Sylvie’s Argardian-ness (or lack thereof). I don’t feel like they’ve given us any handle on what her world might have been like.

Having a character named Ouroboros say “It’s like a snake eating its own tail!” as though that’s at all clever or cute. It’s not! That’s literally what the character’s name means!)

Honesly, it doesn’t look like it. I doubt we’re going to see any of these characters in ‘The Boys’, maybe some allusions to the bigger events of this season. Nothing that’s happened on this show would actually need to be addressed by ‘The Boys’ it just uses the setting and some supporting characters.

All of the stuff around B-15, Dox, Hunters, and other TVA employees feels really tacked on and bland. But everything else has been great.

Did you miss the bit of dialogue where OB states if they reboot the system, it will shut off the thingy that stops magic from working in the TVA? Both Loki and Sylvie shout “DO IT!” when they hear that.

The Ouroboros model scene is a delightful riff on the Back to the Future scene and here for it.

Just a couple of observations:

Stolen baby Kangs makes sense...I mean, lol, in the context of utter insanity.

The only real problem I had with this episode was that it seemed like the first 5 minutes were missing.

I would have loved if the 1970's McD’s had those tin foil ashtrays and people smoking. The next time someone whines about how much “better” things were back then, you can’t point to the fact that everyone smoked everywhere. You’d sit in the booth at a fast-food restaurant and find a dirty ashtray and cigarette butts.

Don’t remind me. We’ll never get a Disney + called Generation-X now! I want my live action Monet, Husk, and Chamber. I’m sure we’ll get Jubilee anyway.

bunch of drugged-up 50 year olds in that school

I feel like most all of these problems could be solved if people just would have read the manual. Poor OB
