You have to file ‘on paper’ instead of electronically. It wasn’t too bad because his taxes were simple. And you can only get your refund by check, not direct deposit. Just go to the IRS website and look for the forms for the year you need.

at the very least, use the in-store pickup features and wait for your confirmation.

I don’t think you always have to wait for them to outright ask...sometimes you can use a similar situation to jumpstart the conversation.

An account with a car service would probably be cheaper if they didn’t want to do public transportation (and depending on the hours, I can understand not wanting to ride the subway)
