That really should have been offside. The intended receiver (Lloyd) was offside when the pass was made, and even if she didn’t touch the ball, if she hadn’t been there that play doesn’t happen.

Parade starts in Montreal, ends in Tampa. Half of Quebec makes that trip in November anyway.
It’s really obvious when you think about it. The only way to keep a team in Tampa is to move it somewhere else.
But what city would they hold the parade in when they win the World Series??!!
NHL: “We’d like to invite you out to an awards show where you’ve been nominated to win an award because of your brave stance on coming forward about your mental illness, addictive personality, and alcohol abuse.”
Kenan’s ability to switch from the focus of the humor (What’s Up With That?, his Lavar Ball impersonation) to playing the straight man (any number of others’ character sketches) is what’s made him such a consistent presence on the show.
No matter how much SNL has sucked during the Keenan years, he was always good.
If Kenan Thompson was actually Steve Harvey then I would like Steve Harvey
I’m glad we can take this moment to reinforce the truth that Keenan Thompson... is good.
The risk of injury pretty much kills an NFL development league. You want to dilute the NFL’s advertising rates with a cheaper product that still has all the risks of injury? To their newest hopeful stars?
The NFL has absolutely no incentive to do that. Owners get mad already when people clown on their draft picks, they’re not going to throw them out there with minimal preparation so that we all know for certain Chad Bumfuck from Boise State sucks ass.
What got me about the article is how many times the AAF (and upcoming PPL, FFL, and XFLv2) were certain the NFL would embrace them as a development league. If the NFL wanted a development league, there would be a development league. Hell, there WAS a development league (NFLE) and it got shut down because they didn’t…
Take it from someone who ran loosely in the same social circles as him in school (don’t want to say which)--he is every bit as mediocre and confident as you think. Not a bad guy, reasonably friendly! But not smart. Or good at much.
Jesus, I'm sorry, THE POPE! I thought that's what "self service" meant.
To be fair, pumping gas at costco is a pretty weird time...
I read that article last week. My favorite part was when they listed his qualifications to run a sports league: “He had a famous last name in the entertainment industry. He had connections to powerful people.”
came late and “at weird times.”
came under the care of Dr. Rick Celebrini
Given that physicians have the same power as referees to determine whether or not players can play, it boggles my mind that the various unions haven't insisted on a truly independent medical corps paid collectively by the league rather than by individual teams.
You could draw some similarities to football. Buddy Ryan develops the 46 defense. Offenses move to more short passing, less play action. And so on. And it only took 5-10 years! At the rate baseball strategy evolves, I anticipate teams effectively game planning against the shift in...30 years or so.
