I don’t know. Still don’t care much. Just play the game and enjoy it, I guess. I still have a bunch of hours in Stellaris whether or not they let some random white genetics mod happen on Steam.

Just have a racial color picker like they have for the flags. I guess that’d handle all complaints really.

There’s no reduction in modding capabilities, and the mod was only removed from one source of mods, which was the Steam page. The only location that Paradox has direct influence over.

Technically speaking, mods have multiplayer capability.

I think it’s acceptable if developers curate their steam workshop page. It’s not like Paradox instituted a mechanism to make this mod unusable. This is basically just a symbolic statement on their viewpoint for the game. Had Paradox gone and reduced mod capabilities over it, that would be weird.

When is what going to stop? Usually developers remove mods because they think it threatens their sales or something, or fundamentally changes the game.

If you liked CK2, there’s a relatively good chance you should enjoy other Paradox games as well.

The allowance of having it is the cultural acceptance part. The original guy was doubtlessly referring to the idea of having sex in games as weird and pervy, where it shouldn’t be because this is a situation in which depictions of sex are not weird or unusual.

Sure, but that’s not an issue with the choice to have sexual themes openly present in the game, that’s a problem with technology and production.

In Poland, where this game was made, discussion and representations of sexual acts or human bodies are much more socially accepted than in the US.

You have more wiggle room with what you’re allowed to do in your institution if you’re a completely private entity.

It would make sense to only treat people for something they’re deficient in.
