I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve seen the police clear away all sorts of protesters in a variety of ways. Perhaps the reason it appears to be selectively enforced is that when you tell most handbill hander-outers to bugger off, they do without needing the police.

It get’s worse. According to the NYT article, one Muslim woman “was wearing an actual competition bathing suit, like they wear in the Olympics, and a bathing cap, and she was taken off the beach.”

We’ll have to see. I would expect it to be launched under the Fusion brand, but the current Fusion site seems a bit to niche to meet that.

This is one of the big reasons that inequality has grown so much. American workers are (though a mix of technology and “culture”) more and more productive each year, earning companies more and more money, but their pay rate has not increased to match these improvements in productivity, so the money moves to the top.

I think the implication is that with most crimes, the police start with the presumption that the victim is indeed a victim and that a crime was indeed committed.
