I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve seen the police clear away all sorts of protesters in a variety of ways. Perhaps the reason it appears to be selectively enforced is that when you tell most handbill hander-outers to bugger off, they do without needing the police.

It get’s worse. According to the NYT article, one Muslim woman “was wearing an actual competition bathing suit, like they wear in the Olympics, and a bathing cap, and she was taken off the beach.”

We’ll have to see. I would expect it to be launched under the Fusion brand, but the current Fusion site seems a bit to niche to meet that.

Rape victims are expected to remember and be 100% consistent in their stories and are often automatically disbelieved. Ryan Lochte may or may not have made up being robbed, but is instantly believed and any inconsistencies are automatically defensible.

I think the implication is that with most crimes, the police start with the presumption that the victim is indeed a victim and that a crime was indeed committed.
