I’m not sure that a former 10-minute epilogue would have immediately undercut Lucifer as God and simply handed the title over to another character. Given everything he’s gone through in his journey to get to this point, I’d kind of feel cheated if that happened. I also don’t think that God left behind any particular

The comic does indeed have a ‘God leaves Creation’ story - and like here, it’s the final arc - but what is more amazing about the fact the show has looped back to source material beats is how this Lucifer is the complete anti-thesis of Sandman/Mike Carey’s Lucifer.

That nod to The Good Place was so subtle and gave me a huge smile - which was already there because it came from the lips of Mr Said Out Bitch.

The most hilarious part of “STOP HAMMER TIME” wasn’t so much that Lucifer was punking Michael but that Archangel “Big Piece of Wood” happened to know the lyrics by heart. I can understand Lucifer, “Can’t Touch This” is truly satanic. But the holder of the last twig of The Tree of Life???

Just glad that Maggie didn’t wind up marrying her brother.

Maya got fired during her wedding! right after she and Carina jinxed it by talking about how DeLuca family weddings are always batshit but nothing was going wrong at theirs.

yeah, but I don’t hate April or Jackson or April/Jackson together, so that was way less annoying.

If those particular groups who petitioned against a charming and sympathetic Devil character witnessed this, their heads would probably explode!

Thank you Kay! Will possibly see you in the fall.

The newly dubbed “best friends” are bound to hook up next season in Jo’s fancy new apartment.

The cinematography definitely helps, as does the extra care given to the scripts. The Arrowverse itself was a step above Smallville so it’s nice to see an ongoing evolution of the format.

You can have shows like this without ignoring the whole Arrowverse. A few references to other shows should not be a problem. What was the whole point of Crisis? Marvel moved on after Endgame, but they have not ignored all that came before and, instead, is building on the previous universe without ignoring it.

The issue I had was that it seemed like they cut out scenes that would have worked.  Like we I get they needed to pay attention to the other main family, but I would have liked to see Clark checking on Jonathan or Jonathan and Jordan's conversation (that they clearly had on the way home) about what happened.  So, I

Dang, this show is good. Thots:

Look, nothing was going to be good enough for this episode after the Dan-a-palooza of the last episode — so putting all of the spinning wheels / closure bits to get us to the last three episodes of the season here makes a lot of sense.

I agree with that interpretation, but I don’t know if the show has fully earned it. I feel like they have a tendency to sidestep some things or go half in/half out on things.

I loved how incredibly specific Lucifer was when he told Dan how much he spent on the prank, $5,oo4, 157, and that it was worth every penny. I bet he even set up everything the Los X “bike” shop just so Dan had to ride that gold bicycle with the spare tire on the back.

Agreed, but then episodes like this seem to loop back on itself and put blame on Dad for not noticing/not caring/not knowing it would happen. Arguably, he did not know it would happen and did not cause it to happen so the most his father did was send him to a place for doing something pretty bad. But that doesn’t

I’m not a particularly religious personread the Bible when I was a kid, not necessary to the story but whatever—but I just felt really weird even when writing my notes if I didn’t capitalize God/Him, etc. I know it might be a bit annoying for some (and I know that’s not what you said, just acknowledging), but that’s s

Lucifer was saved by Netflix after network cancelation, then renewed for a fifth and final season, then renewed for another season (so now the sixth will be its final season), because of just how popular it is. I’ve had plenty of my other coverage axed over the years, but I’m very happy that hasn’t been the case for
