Gold. The edgiest of precious metals. Should have went with a respectable silver imo.

Is gold edgy now? It’s hard to keep up.

The devs of one of my favorite games (XCOM) is channeling the vibes of two of my OTHER favorite games (Slay the Spire & Divinity Original Sin 2) and doing my favorite mode (spooky) of my favorite comics (Marvel)...

I was all ready to root for him until I saw that stupid fucking react face.

The spoiler is the actual set of story events which unfold on Virmire. The fact that there is a mission that happens on Virmire, and some random Salarian dies during it, is hardly a spoiler.

I just played through it, and whether or not to slam the asteroid into the relay isn’t presented as a choice. (The relay then explodes, destroying the colony)

I’m not sure if this is sarcasm or not...

In the oft chance it isn’t I don’t see the comparison. One is of a minor encounter where you learn information for a quest...and doesn’t effect anything else.

The other is a series ending where you had three games to build up relationships, actions and decisions that are meant

you know, if you flip the Mako (much harder in this version, but I managed it once), you can just hit Square to bring up the “Return to the Normandy” prompt.

Rosebud is his sled, it was his sled from when he was a kid. There, I just saved you two long boring boobless hours.

I don’t hate the pop changes, they do what they set out to do. The late game isn’t as micromanagement heavy, performance is better and pop growth isn’t quite as much of an end all stat.

Haven’t gotten it myself yet due to the low Steam reviews, but there are a lot of complaints about how they changed mid-to-late game pop growth, the espionage system is under-cooked and the expansion is overpriced compared to the amount of content it adds.

This is the very latest update, so just shy of two weeks old and the patch notes describe it as:

Reportedly the population mechanics have been changed from individual planet based to being linked to your wider empire which eventually enforces what seems to be a de facto soft cap on your global population.

Both of those things can be true at the same time.

This might just be a “Paradox dealing with the pandemic” issue, as another game of theirs, Stellaris, also just came out with an expansion that is having similar complaints of poor balancing and underdeveloped features.

There are still placeholders or wrong art uses with the sikh and zoroastrian religions.

Probably not, but if you sign into the PlayStation Store on a PC, you should be able to add the PS5 version to your library for when you eventually do decide to get a PS5. (Seemed to work with Bugsnax at least.)

your friend needs to play Deus Ex.

You need to ask your friend if he’s played Dishonored, New Vegas, Watch Dogs 2, and numerous other games CDPR cribbed from. I mean it’s fun, but it’s not new.

White people claiming indigenous backgrounds after genociding them because it got romanticized decades after the genocide is always wrong, and you should be more curious about where you ACTUALLY come from if you actually care about your heritage. But oppressors stealing the identity of the oppressed is always fucked
