@DugDawg: So any sacred cow that gets abused means it's insensitive crap and shouldn't be approached?
@Hand_O_Death: That was Grade A choice Excellent.
First off, this is an excellent piece of art, because everybody seems pissed off, and nobody understands it—even including the explanatory press release, which is some kind of miracle.
I can't properly express how much I love this idea. The fact that I have stock in a company developing gaming fitness equipment should *not* be construed as some kind of conflict of interest.
@Black-Dog-Howls: I'm upset now.
what's the deal with that picture? Is the dog ok?
As much as I'm completely over doing difficult things in a game and being frustrated as some kind of strange rite of passage, I have to admit, that being frustrated and repeatedly told to do what seemed impossible in games contributed to patience and an ability to take stock in stressful non-gaming situations to try…
@baberg: I've played WoW to endgame, and City of Heroes/Villains to endgame. If you consider Diablo II 'close enough', then I've been that far in that one too.
NDA is about to go away, at this point, it's going to be released, so I'll throw my opinion out there.
Savage was an excellent game that gave someone a strategy role, and other people RPG/Class based FPS roles. I think it's the basic model for any universal game. The basic underpinning is the team Sport, with specialized roles on the team, a la soccer or american football, and a role for sideline-people who manage the…
Bob Downey is a great actor, and I think it's because he's self obsessed and completely into how amazing he is. Because he was so amazing, the only way he could cope with all the tools, like us, he had to deal with all day, was drugs. Now that he's clean, he can understand that what's really important is showing…
for 2500Y, you could have got yourself a kit for Fin-Fannel Gundam, with *real* metal parts! What a hosejob.

I suggest he cap the flag to gain bonus honor.
@Brian Crecente: All I remember is a white light, and then I heard the whisperings of departed studios.
@solidsnak: And it goes a step beyond, because the persistence of the world and characters creates persistence in relationships. In an MMO there's room for drama and strange awkward ostracizations. In a typical online game, whatever relationship forms can be mostly in your own head, just like with pure IM, because…

"imagine a level where your past mistakes made it longer"
this is the most perverse thing I've ever seen. If a game doesn't have strategy, then it is a 'game' in the sense that casino's fill aisle after aisle with 'games' that take your money and involve no decisions whatsoever.
