But not the wagon, those bastards. I still don't understand why the sedan and ute are on the awesome new FG platform, but the wagon is still on the old BF platform.
@skaycog - Just Say Yes!: While it's true, this version of Labour Day did spring up originally in Canada, variations on the theme had previously existed elsewhere in the world — the May Day celebrations, IIRC. So we can't take ALL the credit. But for this particular one, you're welcome.
@pauljones: Although the same applies to the new VW Group platforms.
Half-speed relative to normal Jalopnik, or in general? If it's the former, I expect a pace marginally better than "glacial". If the latter, hey, business as usual!
@pauljones: Mixed: GM, Ford, Subaru, VW, Acura, Nissan, BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes, Fiat.
@pauljones: Sigh. This again. Dependability ratings depend on who you want to listen to. Some rank the Rabbit/Golf/Jetta as best-in-class, some say middle-of-the-road. Some say Buick is best-in-class, some say barely average. Last year alone, Jaguar was ranked as both best AND worst in it's class, as did Mazda.
Ford Crown Victoria, starting at $22k.
@pauljones: Absolutely true. So why not buy the diesel Jetta over the Volt? $18k buys a LOT of fuel. Which one you choose doesn't matter, the point is that people complain that diesel cars are too expensive, then make excuses about the Volt.
Too expensive, but the Volt, at $10k more is appropriately priced?
@Dhillaz 2.0: She's so dreamy.
@wojo-the invisible manardi: awesome comment, great job!: Another comment, just to make yours visible. Hello? Matt? Approve this guy, he's good shit.
@Jo Schmo: I'd never do such a thing. But he DID propose marriage to me twice, and has confessed his love a few times. Clearly, I feel a bit jilted.
@skaycog - Just Say Yes!: Yes.
@TimTim: Unfortunately, I'm a subcontracted commenter, and not a union member. Furthermore, there are two Jalopnik unions, the Jalopnik Illuminati Brotherhood, designated by the gold star badges, and the International Brotherhood of United Jalopnik Minardi. Both Unions will need to take a vote on your resolution…
In fairness, I made a similar mistake about both A Strolling Player and skaycog, so I can't criticise too much.
@Goingincirclez: I got a ton of grief about my Corrado when a botched alarm install caused a myriad of problems. I think turnabout is fair play. ;)
@skaycog - Just Say Yes!: Yes, skaycog, I must admit, your headlights are pretty fantastic.
@Goingincirclez: Of course, it's now made by those Filthy Socialists in Canadia.
@skaycog - Just Say Yes!: Skaycog, it hurts that you've managed to move on so quickly.
