@Jo Schmo: I missed the first one. Which thread?

@Feds: No, you're safe, my bike is an '81 Honda CB750 Custom in showroom condition. I'm probably replacing it this year with a new Yamaha. I wouldn't buy a Harley, they're just too expensive. But... I gotta say, I do want the H-D F150.

@layabout now with V8 power: You do realize you have to make comments OTHER than just complimenting Hardigree, right? He can't very well pick the ones singing his praises as the COTD.

That's great and all, but can you get it in Burberry?

@Jo Schmo: Perfect. Sign me up. That's what I look for in a truck, I don't know about the rest of you.

Honestly, that's just like a man. The first thing he notices is the ass end. Then it's the profile (no doubt so he can ogle the curves), and it's not until, what, five days later that he finally bothers to look at the face.

@aSoundofSleep: It should be noted, though, that a great deal of the criticism of the Phaeton was not the "$100k for a VW" comment. Yes, it was said, but not as much as something to the effect of "$100k for a car that is astonishingly bland-looking, and resembles an over-inflated Passat".

So basically what you're saying is that all that gibberish in the original article that there were no performance upgrades was a bunch of hooey? So this doesn't need to be my guilty pleasure after all, I can freely lust after the H-D F150 and be fully justified in it?

@pauljones: Which I just don't see happening. It took, what, 15 years for BMW to be considered a proper luxury brand outside of Europe, maybe more, depending on when you think they actually started making luxury sports sedans. It took, what, two years for Lexus to be accepted? (Well, accepted by the mouth-breathing

@darex: In Canada (or at least BC, haven't checked if it's the same rules everywhere), if the pedestrian is in a crosswalk, it's the car's fault. If they're crossing anywhere else, it's jaywalking. Since jaywalking is illegal, and Canada goes on a system that says that the person doing the illegal act is at fault in

@LaFemme: I got a bit of that from Campus Security. Telling me that I shouldn't have "flirted" with her at my friend's house. Telling me that I shouldn't have climbed into bed naked with her. Excuse me? It's MY BED, and I didn't know she was there. They went out of their way to find ways that it was my fault, and

@Crabby Cakes' Anaconda don't want none.: Having dealt with this a few times now, I am not as surprised anymore, but at the time, I was astonished. There is a complete mentality that guys should just be able to handle it themselves. Of course, if they try to, the police demand to know why they didn't call the police.

@tinycowboybraaaaains: They're stupid expensive, but worth every penny. I have a pair myself, and while they're not as well-designed for guys (let's just say they really don't hide anything at all, so I can't wear them out in public), they are so comfortable they're almost criminal.

When I was in University, my roommate and best friend had an absolutely awesome girlfriend, now his wife. She was the kind of person who was easy-going, funny, and a joy to be around. As such, when we were going out for "guy time", she'd often be invited along.

@Gearhead_42: @SlowMo: Fair enough, point taken. I, too, would like to have both.

@aSoundofSleep: Maybe you jinxed us? Probably not, it's more likely Matthew was scared of the heebie-jeebies coming off that limo.

From a guy's perspective, that may be one of the sexiest outfits she could possibly be wearing.

I thought for SURE the Michael Jackson Limo thread was going to offer up the COTD for today.
