the biggest problem with fondue is that it’s upsold as some kind of fancy-pants rich person food.

As an official White Person From Connecticut™, I can brook much of this ribbing in good humor. My tartans and cakes and mug toppers will survive this onslaught of Magaryisms. My holiday good cheer will continue apace and my cup will runneth over with nasty-ass truffle oils while I listen to the Non-specific Winter…
If this traditional doesn’t involve the ministers personally drinking the whole bottle of competing liquor on this tiny rock island before leaving their own bottle, color me unimpressed.
Now if the US got involved we’d have a huge debate in over what type of alcohol to leave and it would cost us millions of dollars.
And that’s why I say if $hilary doesn’t already have your vote, vote for Johnson. Get the party over that 5% threshold and legitimize ALL 3rd party efforts going forward. Otherwise we’ll never get anything better than Drumpf vs. $hilary.
I think that over the past few years, Republican rhetoric has just become so unhinged and unabashedly batshit that people forget there was a point when Republican vs. Democrats was truly a matter of economic/welfare policies. Then family values and culture wars got dragged into it and now here we are.
I don’t know. Weld particularly just seems like the kind of old school republican that was marginalized by the tea party. He’s a Rockefeller republican. I’ve been making fun of libertarianism since before most commenters were born and I generally agree with you but the GOP is currently so batshit that I can see why…
This is funny to me because everyone here is so sex work positive. If there’s nothing degrading about being a prostitute, why is it insulting to assume someone would have sex for money? Also she does already have sex for money so what’s the difference
I would sleep with him for £25 million, and a general anaesthetic, and an obliviate spell.
Hot damn this show is so good. I would pay for the Stanbury experience where we go for cocktails and she subtly insults me the whole time.
Not throwing my vote away. Each vote for Johnson is a signal to the rest of the country that a larger portion of us reject a charlatan and a criminal being our only choices as president. Regardless of how this election goes, it will mean more for our country’s future.
I know you know better, but right now Gary Johnson is polling at ~9%. And that’s happening in an environment where 3rd party voters are being vilified, a va-emptively blamed, shamed, and generally intimidated into not “throwing away their vote” by both the public at large (aka Hillary supporters) and the media, and…
It does nothing because people have been taught that it does nothing, because many State laws make it difficult to impossible for third party candidates to run for ANY office and because it costs an estimated $100 million to win a presidential election.
Except they are running on down ticket races. Just off the top of my head, I can think of Green Party candidates Joe DeMare in Ohio (Senate) and Matt Funiciello in New York (The House).
Actually if a third party manages to get enough votes and a large enough following they can have a showing at future debates. Voting third party really can change something.
Voting for a third party is doing something. It’s the assholes voting for Trump or Hillary that are literally doing nothing. Also some of us are rallying together and trying to be heard, but it’s hard to get past all the money and influence of the major parties.
I’m pretty sure that is the guy who once looked sexy with his hair pushed back.
This just happened, on the 1st of this month.
At least you are well positioned for getting the shit scared out of you.
Honestly, I have no idea what really happened the night I’m about to describe. All I know is what I observed and experienced.
