Unfortunately, screens are cheaper to develop and implement than buttons now and they can continue with the interior design without having to think much about control placement. Just let the UI weenies figure that part out. The result is shitty infotainment systems.

I’ve been hit by a number of cars. Just because the speeds were low enough to make the collisions survivable doesn’t mean any of them were a good time.

A speaker emulating a real exhaust is less wimpy than inverter and electric motor whine? I have never seen a car compensate so loudly.

Sure, as long as no one in a wheelchair wants to go over. Adding an elevator is big money.

In the video, what’s up with the cops immediate dig at the person. “You guys have a strong ‘hall monitor’ vibe.” I know it’s a small thing, but fuck that guy. Treat people with respect; don’t belittle people because you think they are making your job harder. No one likes cops anymore! They’ll cry.  No shit.

In TSA’s pewling partial defense, a sufficient density of panicked people stampeding through a small space is very tricky and difficult to stop. You can get swept up with them or trampled or close doors and watch as people get pressed against the barricade and crushed 0r suffocated... and if the cause of their panic

They could go to Irwindale speedway and use the drag strip or drift box.

I’m not gonna lie, that looks fucking fantastic. It’s a little less successful on the Sport, but this should’ve been advertised from launch.

Good. She should be in jail for an incredibly long time. Why is somebody with 13 previous car crashes allowed anywhere near a motor vehicle? You should have scooter privileges only after multiple documented self-caused wrecks.

Even chartering a yacht shows you’re in an insane wealth category. The really nice/new ones can be a few million dollars per week to charter. More pedestrian yachts can be $500k+ per week. It’s kind of insane. Even allowing charters for only half a year, newer nicer boats can pull in $50 million to $80 million their

In stark contrast, American stablemate GM has taken a wildly different tact when it comes to flooding the market with EVs.

Apparently, that was always an option.”

it’s time to mandate (and enforce) a standardized bumper height for all vehicles.

jesus christ for fuck sake keep your goddamn religion out of an official government statement

imagine fox news losing their shit if some muslim lawmaker put out a statement, “He has returned to the loving embrace of Allah and is currently wrecking the shit out of 72 virgins”

Nobody said anything about the cyclist getting a pass.  The other guy being at fault doesn’t give you the right to hit-and-run.

When you hit someone with your car, you fucking stop and at the very least see if they’re ok. Regardless of who’s at fault.

Any time someone talks about how EVs have more than enough range for the average American driver, I get irked. It’s a statement that generalizes American drivers and fails to take into account those of us who don’t live in a convenient area.

His fault. Totally.

I’ve ridden 3,000+ miles a year for 25+ years. I’ve been hit by one car - oddly it had stopped to turn left into a gas station, was literally making eye contact with me...and then turned right in front of me. Over the hood I went in a full front flip, miraculously unhurt. 1999, pre-cell phone era, so documentation and

But the collision was 100% his fault. Whether she stopped or not did not change his extent of injury, considering passerbys were able to render assistance.
