Yeah, residential vs commercial installation. How could there possibly be a difference?

EVs continue to grow in popularity each year. For now, they are out of reach for the casual buyer looking to spend $25k or less, but I’m sure the same was true when automobiles started replacing horses.

Is this gonna have that weird math where big trucks get some sort of exception and such so 40 MPG really means somewhere in the mid 20's for realworld gas mileage?

Now playing

It’s a great step forward and I will get one if/when it comes even if I could charge one at home or with limited availability it’s a much more reasonable solution for lighter vehicles, I really don’t want to own a battery that will eventually die on me no matter how I use it

I’ve thought long and hard about this and while I’ve never read it anywhere, I have to believe that the reason we don’t have proper phone mounts in cars is that manufacturers don’t want to be on the wrong end of litigation about distracted driving.  Creating a phone mount in the car basically invites users to user

First, it doesn’t appear that there are any issues with demand for EVs. And it’s also doubtful that production can be significantly increased in the short term. Increasing demand by lowering prices wouldn’t result in more sales, so there is currently no incentive for manufacturers to reduce prices.

I don’t think we can tell where prices should go.

I really hate this thing, but I’d rather see a Hummer EV over a coal rolling F350 brodozer with a Carolina squat that has never hauled a thing in its life.

Considering that I have a cousin who believes that Joe Biden personally raised the price of gas because AOC and the other big city liberals want to take his car away, I’d say yes, idiots are willing to believe anything and if they hear that their senator or rep voted to stand up to Joe Biden’s evil high gas prices,

Always hated the two below on 4th generation Firebirds.

Leaving aside any actual merits of the tax suspension (not many!), do politicians really believe anyone in this polarized climate is changing their vote or deciding to come out and vote in November over a temporary 18 cent reduction in gas prices?

That was better than the 5-lug, twin-3 spokes of the SN95. Possibly the most boring wheel Ford ever put on a Mustang.

These Corolla wheels trigger my OCD like none other

Tesla’s

This awful CRV wheel. Ugh.

That’s kind of a naïve take. More likely is that buyers will want to charge for their daily driving. You don’t have to fully charge your battery if you’re doing 20-40 miles a day. You just have to be able to charge 20-40 miles a day, which even a slow, level 1 charger (110v) will do.

Suspending the gas tax is the move with the smallest real upside compared to the greatest theatrical appearance of an upside, which is exactly why it’s the only thing that will be done.

If the human rights abuses, despotism or literal murdering and quartering of people didn’t put the pilots off those dictator-enabling races, I sincerely hope that being forced to race will finally do the trick. Now they got a taste of what it is like.

My cruise control stalk has a "humor" button on the end of it. It goes "whoooosh" when I press it.
