Not too surprising. Everything is CAN-based these days, and everything has a standardized PGN (at least that’s what it’s called in the marine industry, with which I’m more familiar). It’s just reading CAN messages off the bus and updating the display accordingly.

Tesla earnings calls are almost entirely Elon “baffling with bullshit” to obfuscate the fact that the stock is hugely overvalued. Tesla’s record profits and sales are representative of a mid-tier auto manufacturer with a P/E value probably 1/50th of Tesla’s. (I’m pulling numbers outta my ass, don’t @ me).

Correction: they have no interest in selling a cheap car as long as their production capacity is maxed out making more expensive (and profitable) cars.
