I agree completely. Alex mentioned in a tweet recently he believes some other publications that are putting forth this argument are doing so in bad faith. I’ve no idea how to articulate this further which is why I’m so eager for a long-form breakdown from him.

Kelly Marie Tran’s tiny role in SW9 was definitely the most heart breaking part of that whole debacle and I absolutely agree it would suck if any producer ever listens to toxic assholes again. I’ve recently developed a greater appreciation for gradeless reviews but even then it’s hard to avoid the trolls.

I completely agree. I loved the game, just finished crying for about 30 minutes after the ending, and I’m really disappointed by the completely random response this is getting from the community. This game actually appeared to solve many of the originals few flaws with the way they handle their multiple protagonists.

I remember this question came up on reddit (of course) a few years ago and the two that stood out to me were Patrick Bateman and Pierce Hawthorn.

I’m really glad to hear other people also recognise Infinity War as the perfect hype-up before a Leftovers re-watch.

I can see like 5 other people in that video recording the same thing in landscape mode, but of course it’s the only person recording in portrait that uploads it.

I finally got around to watching SHARP OBJECTS with my sister which was a bit disappointing. I’m hoping that when I read the recaps I’ll see all the nuance that I’m generally blind to. I spent the first 2 episodes thinking it was fine, then the next 6 episodes getting irritated that Sharp Objects is huge while the

Congratulations, @Danette Chavez. I wish I could go back and experience PUBERTY 2 for the first time again. The first time I heard the sax kick in on Happy I was gobsmacked.

Did any film this year get an ‘A’?

I understand that you could mispell Jeremy Bearimy, but how could you possibly forget that there’s at least one ‘i’ in there?

You Were Never Really Here has an incredible score which I’m still listening to. Tree Synthesisers/Strings are absolutely gorgeous and Ywnrh legitimately makes me nervous wherever I happen to be listening to it. Can someone temper my expectations of whether Jonny Greenwood will get an Oscar sooner rather than later,

This isn’t a review of the game. It’s a review of what the author has played so far. Hardly an all-encompassing piece.

It’s gotta be Long that goes. No way can they top Willard’s death from Review.

I like the idea of substituting the swear words on pages with the Good Place versions. I don’t use Chrome, nor want that thing as my homepage or any other features. Is there a list of substitutions they use so that I can plug them into the xkcd addon?

Yeah I’ll probably get around to watching the first season eventually, but right now I’m here for The Coon.

I bawled my eyes out when Paige made her decision.

Oooh yeeessss I like this theory. Does that mean that perhaps the Shadow King did this to create a bargaining chip? If only he can turn her back then that could certainly ensure David’s bidding to an extent.

I think it’s mainly the Shadow King’s line. “You decide what is real and what is not. Your will.” I didn’t quite click until I read the review but that line sort of confirms it right? You reckon?

I don’t recall him saying that. I do remember him mentioning that he wished the film had a dirtier or smoggy look to it like the original film. To be fair the two films look vastly different in terms of lighting, not that Deakins had any intention of trying to replicate Cronenweth’s lighting, so it’s fair that he
