Ideally the season ends with Gladys run out of town with Jug, FP, and Jellybean living with the Coopers.

WHITE LINE FEVER
Calling someone Heckle and Jeckle was common from grown-ups and children when I was growing up, too. It could be used affectionately or derisively, depending on the behavior of the pair in question.
Vice Squad is essential.
I was kind of hoping that Archie and Josie weren’t going to kiss. It was nice just seeing the platonic friendship between two people who were feeling a little lost.
“Storm of the Lights Bane” is essential. If I had to pick five of my favorite black metal albums it’s easily on the list.
Your comment sums up most of the appeal of old Archie comics. The dark veneer throws people but Riverdale, for better or worse, is faithful to it’s source material.
still waiting for him to top “Empty Bottle”
This episode felt like quintessential Riverdale. All it was missing was Cheryl.
I think it was the crooked ex-Sheriff that said Tallboy was dead? So it was just a lie and his brief resurrection was cool. RIP Tallboy (again)
I didn’t expect Cheryl to give out hundreds or anything, just maybe let other gang members crash in the living room instead of sleeping in tents or whatever.
I’m glad Cheryl finally got called out for not sharing her big house with other Serpents. After the exodus from the Southside I thought they should address whether or not she’d ever share her wealth.
It’s not an extension of any DH stuff and it’s not a new “season” of the show.
I wasn’t around but I’m pretty sure there were kids under ten watching the original series when it aired in the 60s.
Jingles was the name of the magical elf that used to show up a cause havoc in Archie X-Mas comics. I’m not sure he ever crossed paths with Sabrina, though. Still it’s a fun reference and I’m not giving up hope that the real Jingles the Elf will show up later.
I liked Fred and FP there at the end to pick up their respective sons. It feels like a long time since we had some nice father and son moments on the show.
I lol’ed when the dealer’s name was revealed as Johnny Goldwater. It was nice little tribute to current Archie Comics publisher Jon Goldwater.
One of my favorite comedies, ever.
In a simpler time Juggie would’ve been delighted to be handcuffed to a fridge.
Professor Black (High Spirits, Dawnbringer, Superchrist) released three excellent metal albums this year.
