Snyder hate is some of AV Club’s favorite bait
Let’s be real: Jughead didn’t really have a chance of winning that race. FP said the Ghoulies were all about their cars and we’ve had no indication Jug could race (unless it were a motorcycle race and even that’s a big maybe.)
I’m glad the kids got a talking to and got in trouble for doing drugs
wish he would make some more Wainy Days
They’ve joked about getting him on the show which doesn’t seem that unlikely. Cooper stays busy though so it might just come down to a scheduling thing on whether we see the Alices together.
They actually got in a “That Wilkin Boy” reference. Little easter eggs like that keep things fun for older fans or anyone who has spent too much time around comics.
There’s another Dokken song called “Sleepless Nights” that would’ve been perfect for a Freddy movie. Oddly enough it’s on the same Dokken album that has “Dream Warriors” on it. I’m guessing they were approached to write a song for the movie and ended up with two.
Ironmaster might only be for diehard Lenzi and /or George Eastman fans such as myself.
Conquest by Lucio Fulci and Ironmaster by Umberto Lenzi are pretty great. How much enjoyment you get out of Italian exploitation, especially when it comes to the sword and sorcery films or Indiana Jones clones, comes down to how much you are into a certain director or actor.
I’m not sure but I thought Dilton was the DJ at Archie’s party last season. They never mentioned it or it could’ve just been a random character with a similar look. Regardless Archie could likely use some target practice at Dilton’s gun range (which I assume he has somewhere outside of town.)
I’m sure I’ve read at least half a dozen or more Archie comics where the gang comes together to save Pop’s. It’s a classic plot and they found a great way to work it in to this season’s story.
When Cheryl called Betty a stone cold bitch it was more of compliment than an insult. Cheryl’s relationship with the rest of them can literally change every week and it’s fine.
I got a “The Town That Dreaded Sundown” vibe from the final scene. We’ve already gotten a cello bow kill so I won’t be at all surprised if someone gets killed with a trombone before this is all over.
Alice needs to refer to Juggie as Snake Plissken a few more times, hopefully to his face.
At one point they were also going to do a (no pun intended) hit piece on Bret Hart but he became involved with the dvd they were doing and somehow convinced Vince not to give him the Warrior treatment
some fans just want Rick to be a good grandpa, though (which makes up a good amount of the fan art out there)
excited to see more Bruce Ben-Bacharach
I think I expected the series to end with Cooper finally back in Twin Peaks and he would see Audrey again (I was even holding hope for a surprise Michael Ontkean cameo) and it would be a nice ending. Cooper back in the real world and doing good.
