I've always deducted my "watchdogs" on the farm. Over the years I have had several big dogs on the farm to serve as a thief deterrent and chase off the Coyotes. German shepherds, Great Danes, Labs, and now have a Great Pyrenees. Cheap insurance. To be clear, I only deduct special expenses like vet bills, not food, but

Biotechnology didn't even make the list? Recruiters are lined up at Ag schools doors.

Spaghetti - Costs less than $1.00/ lb.. Feeds 3 or maybe just two big eaters. Boil for 11 minutes.

The biggest takeaway is to just learn how to "do something". AND do it well. Literature, history and art appreciation may be great fulfilling lifelong academic endeavors but the guy who can keep the heating and cooling (or plumbing or network or diesel engines or steel bridges, or your respiratory system etc) working

College dorms used to be very strict about in room cooking. An iron also works great for popping a pan of "jiffy pop" popcorn. Or just prop it between some books and cook anything on it.

Tests just don't agree with you. One link of many Plus just try to find a commercial bagless vacuum.

I think your CFL suggestion needs more explanation. The "paying for in 6 months" assumes a high rate of use. If it's just a light fixture that just gets very occasional use, it may actually never pay for itself. (Plus I have found that they fail a lot if you go through many on-off cycles). Probably a good investment

Dust kicked up by vacuum cleaners was not a problem until the bagless cleaners got popular. The paper bag cleaners captured all the dust. Thats why they are still preferred by commercial cleaners.

I understand, but just seeing what others could see with a simple search kind of shocked me. AND, is it really deleted??

Lots of paranoia here. Just carry some matches and burn the evidence.

Wow, It even brought up some gun accessories I purchased almost 2 years ago. Pretty scary. Be careful what you buy on-line. I'm not usually concerned much about privacy, and not normally paranoid, but this is really scary.

Also, many of the portable jumper kits have a compressor also. I always carry the jumper/compressor on trips in very remote areas. Most also have a 12v charger so you can keep the kit fully charged from one of your aux power ports. I think my van has about 5 built in ports.

Vote: Samsung Note 4.

The problem with this is that you can't quantify quality of life with six data points. For example I live in a very progressive small city in the south. Very quiet and peaceful lifestyle with wonderful amenities. Very little crime, most don't lock doors. Unemployment rate around 5%, very low cost of living, beautiful

Maybe she should shop around and refinance with another lender. Most closing costs are pretty low now when you move a good loan. I would also find out who Quicken sold the loan to (local recorder has the info) and ask them if they will give a discount for an early payoff.

That could save a lot of major damage, but unfortunately the pipes would still be full of water and bust, and if on a lower level, really create a mess when they thaw.

Sure, It has almost replaced my desktop use. My tablet usually stays on my porch table in it's keyboard stand and gets used multiple times every day for email, news, weather and research for a class I teach. Everything of any importance is on dropbox so everything is available everywhere. When not using it I may be

Can't tell without more information, but I would guess the increased rents would be relatively small. Guess you would have to figure the payback. If your bigger kitchen costs $5000 and increased rents are $100 more than it would take 50 months of continuous rents just to break even. If your townhouse is sized for 2-3

Don't know much about Kurt, but what he said really brings out the evolution fanatics. They have a real religious fervor to defend evolution. They defend it and want to stop any other opinions, thoughts, ideas and evidence just like they accuse Christians of doing.

I pride myself on staying prepared, since we experience tornados, ice storms, and a potential earthquake as well as some loose nuts on the streets, but about the only difference in winter and any other season are plans to stay warm. Everything else should be taken care of.
