I think its literally a Seinfeld reference though it was Pimple Popper MD there.

Its almost like they wanted attention and not money. Good thing they didn’t get tons of that just because internet writers saw an easy dunk.

Its insane to me that through how many times these sites have changed hands that Kinja has stayed around despite literally no one liking it.

I think its objective fact that OK Computer was a popular and critical success.

I fucking loved John from Cincinnati, like Deadwood mixed with Twin Peaks. I know i’m on my own hill on that one thought. Also, is that how it went down? Seems kinda odd that David Milch made the decision to kill his own show.

Different owners have different opinions on what “so much” is though right? I don’t know, with stuff like the salary cap and the Draft, I think at some point you do have to consider that you’re developing and regulating a game. The point of the NBA is to put out a product that people are going to watch and care about,

Thanks for the info! Again its just so weird to me that the one place that the glass ceiling was shattered on a regular basis going back for thousands of years was the top of the freaking ladder. Maybe they did truly believe the divine right bs and that going against the bloodline was unthinkable even to reinforce the

I saw them at Bonnaroo circa 2005. On that day and on that stage it went Elvis Costello, then Beck, then Radiohead.

Hey good for you for at least going beyond Ok Computer, I’m firmly in the camp that there’s nothing worthwhile post Kid A, I’ve seen them live recently and all that 2000's and after stuff is just whitenoise to me.

I’m sure you didnt leave it out based on ignorance but I have to respond to you that OBJECTIVELY ok computer is one of the classic albums of the 90s. It was a massive hit popularity wise and artistically. Obviously, you don’t like it, but they do have a “timeless masterpiece” that you literally coulden’t leave out if

Its always been weird to me that European countries were so loyal to the rules of monarchy even when the opportunity is there for people in power to change things in their own favor. Like, why woulden’t someone within the power circle of England just use the vacuum created by Anne having no heirs to make their own

See that sentence would seem like the best thing ever but there’s no way its as good as those two things. I know Jesse Armstrong wrote Loop but is it alot like the Thick of It style?

I get editing, but why would the AVClub want to cut whole parts to meet a word count? Its the internet, you don’t have to worry about cutting trees down for paper. Isint the business model make as many pages per article as you can to sell ad space on?

IDK if other late night shows have the same schedule but Letterman’s practice of filming two shows on Thursday made the Friday show have pretty much the same bits as the Thursday one.

How could Tumblr be created to tap into the same audience as Twitter in 2007 when Twitter didn’t start until 2008?

You might be aware of this but Death of Stalin is just one of many works by Armando Iannucci that all have the same style. Check out In the Loop or the tv show The Thick of It.

Lincoln was pretty up front that the fought the civil war in order to keep the union together not to free slaves, though he did ultimately believe that the union could not exist with slavery either.

Civil war was definitely about slavery, the South were unarguably fighting for the right to keep slaves, but I think it might be more accurate to describe the North as not fighting so much to end slavery but to keep the union together.

Not an anime purist by any means but I think its a reasonable position that any film adaptation of Cowboy Bebop that doesn’t begin with Kanno’s theme be an issue that the Hague war crimes tribunal take up.
