No, fuck the guests for being smug and unfunny, which is why Wait wait is the only show that will employ most of them.

Wow, the usually fiendishly reserved and discriminating Wait, Wait, audience laughed uproariously at something?! My word…

This is an insane statement. Any male or female who is at least minimally aware of the movie industry of the past 20 years would be able to recognize William H. Macy. You would have to be an actual regular viewer of Shameless to know who Emmy Rossum is and probably half of those people would not actually know her name

This is obviously a matter containing subjectivity but goddamn does Tactics and games like it, seem like the least fun things ever. Like all of the work and no fun of JRPGs.

No it would be a prank if he made the other guy think he ran up on stage to interrupt his award speech but didn't. If you do the actual thing then thats what you did, its not a prank.

I would even say the Peter King ones were better, even though I like PK as a person much more then Greggg.

There are probably analyses of the contract with the devil mythos. As a lawyer, I'd be interested in how much it was inspired by medieval distrust of the literate upper classes and being tricked into signing your life and property away.

He was the guest on Star Wars Minute last week and that was the first I heard I've heard of him. After a week I've finally decided that character from William Gibson novel about clones is what I'm going to think of when I see his name.

More generally though, all the performances are entertaining even outside of just campiness. The music too is top notch

SPOILERS KIND OF Only halfway through the season so i coud still be wrong but I think most people, such as myself, are gonna start off thinking theres more to the Pope's design, that his harshness is hiding some deep machinations and that he's going to be met with success as an outsider but no, he's just an asshole

God Damn, I can't wait for the Young Pope to premier on HBO so I can see how you all think about that batshit crazy show.

Yea its a very "Chosen One" theme.

Yea thats more ambiguous because like I said elsewhere, I would think its unseasonable to believe Simmons planned everything that happened in order to lead to the climax. I do think that losing his job was to show that Simmons is willing to and did make just as much of a sacrifice as Teller. But I think the vagueness

I'll say it may be wrong to think the goal is getting good at jazz. There are other students in the school who make it to the top level, at least at the school, and it would seem to be wrong to assume they all have received the same treatment. Simmons finds in Teller someone who has the same belief, crazy as it is to

I kind of agree with this, especially with anything web based. They know they can do basically the same thing to any large pop culture happening and they know places like AVclub will write articles because its such an easy story to write and people here love flock to the comment section to rail against it. Its almost

Well that's two different things, do you think the film agrees with me or do you disagree with the film. Again though, I like that Teller and Simmons get to decide for themselves what they're willing to do and take.

1) I think the Simmons does expect it or at least the main goal isint revenge against Teller. When Teller achieves perfection he calmly realizes it like a mad scientist whose experiment is working and seamlessly switches from band leader for the concert theyre currently doing to the teacher Teller needs to bring him

I think the film promotes that you should decide for yourself what you're willing to take. Teller's journey is to not to overcome the abuse but to overcome society telling him the abuse isin't worth it when deep down he believes it is worth it if it makes him a good drummer.

I wonder how many people agree with me on how the film ultimately feels about Simmons and Tellers' characters. I don't think there is any other way to take that last scene as anything but an almost buddhist like climax in a journey to enlightenment through ego destruction. Here though nirvana is being really really

Absolutely no one was offended by being called deplorable. I'm offended as a Clinton voter that whatever strategy session they had came up with the foolproof plan that having their nominee do an impersonation of dave chappell's dorky white guy was going to really stick it to those guys.
