@Hadaken: Yes, but if I turn my headlights on, I'm using 2/10 of a gallon of gas more per mile in my Honda Insight. And, I bought it in silver as it is a more environmentally safe color than blue or red.

@$kaycog: Definitely NOT Integra Girl!
@pauljones: Oh. I'm not that up on my mini-van commercials. I should be though, as the Caravan is getting old. I might just take the kids van shopping over the Christmas break and scare hell out of some salesmen! "Hey kids, lets go for a test drive in the snow!"
@pauljones: I'm sorry, but that is just a God awful looking car. I think Nissan is trying too hard here. Especially the rear end of the van, as it is just way over styled. And Nissan still insists on having the rear seats fold down on the floor instead of into a well, like Honda, Dodge & Toyota's do. That and the…
DC-3's were fine, if you wanted luxury travel, but my dad & his step-dad would beg to disagree as to which plane was a pioneer in aviation. Flying this from Put-in-Bay to Port Clinton in the winter must have been real fun.
@MikeofLA: Double hear click from someone who voted for the current, Socialist/Communist/Nazi regime. ; )
@Fat Tire: An older lady at my church drove up in the 4-door model of that era Legend & I almost fell over, it was absolutely pristine! No rust, dings or dents. Maybe I'll leave her a note on the car, "Dear owner, when you die, can I buy your car off of the estate? It's really cool. Thanks. Please call 419-xxx-xxxx."
@BtheD19: And the price fixing. Don't forget the price fixing.
@From a Buick 6: Yeah, I know, but I like small cars, and I fit nicely into the Fiesta. And it's cheaper. Guess I'll just have to wait & see what the difference is in a couple of years. Ohh, the agony!
So here is the problem. I can't afford a new car right now, and with the amount of driving I do, buying new and/or leasing really doesn't make sense. So, in two +/- years, which would be more desirable, the new Focus or Fiesta? I really like both, although I haven't had any seat time in the new Focus, obviously.…
@RacinG73 - no I will not show you my johnson: Point taken. My take on it is, Clarkson is an eloquent jack-ass who can make a fool of himself, Carolla is a crude jack-ass who takes himself too seriously. I can watch Jeremy, but I can't stand Adam. Maybe I'm just too old to get crude humor
@RacinG73 - no I will not show you my johnson: I think writing for a respected newspaper gets you something. Carolla's ability to constantly swear & tell crude jokes just don't rise to the same level Jeremy's writing & commentary on Top Gear. IMHO.
I used to listen to Carolla's pod cast, but just couldn't take his dickish-ness all the time. He knows his cars, but his arrogance is just too much. Jeremy is a prick too, but at least he has some cred to back it up.
For $5,000, that looks pretty sharp. The mileage is a little high, but it is a different, if not rare, Mercedes. Purists may skwirm, but I think it looks pretty good.
@duurtlang: Compared to what was available at the time, at least in the US, it was way ahead. Plus, the idea of a well made "econo car" with a quality interior, plenty of room and good fuel economy was really not seen in many other cars. I can't think of one domestic car that was comparable.
I'm going more traditional on this one, and nominate the 1985 VW Golf. Our family had an '86 model, and compared to the competition, that car was so far ahead as exterior & interior design & packaging, it was no contest. Sure, it wasn't as reliable as a Honda Civic, but it was way more fun to drive, especially as it…
@Cheeseslap spanks his ACR for being good: And that's why I tell my 7 year old son to look, but don't touch, but know that sometimes the temptation is too much, and can forgive a momentary lack of restraint.
Uhh, I hate Sonic. My wife & I ate there once. Slow service, tiny portions and cold food. And they're popping up all over N.W. Ohio because they are so easy build. They essentially bring the building on site via flat bed, hook it into nearby facilities, pave a parking lot and, viola! Insta Sonic! And I was seriously…
Yeah, those were the days....
Aww, Adam is a DNF.
