You're comparing apples to a well crafted video game. I kid, I kid, but I do think you are talking about totally different types of experiences when you compare Portal to iPhone games.

I would disagree with playing co-op first. Certainly, single player has a grander finish, but you see and hear so much stuff out of context in co-op that it takes the power away from them when you do get to see them in singleplayer. Co-op also has some huge spoilers about the ending of singleplayer which become all

This series direly needs co-op. If Rebirth has co-op it will be sickeningly amazing.

INNAPPROPRIATE BANANA!

I loved all of those hidden chambers. I need to play through again with the intent to find them all since I missed a couple.

Yeah, though I'm just as impressed as everyone else, I am still surprised at the change to the visual atmosphere.

I'd just like to request the chance to hang around after this clothing feeding frenzy occurs. Sorry. I had a guy moment.

This probably isn't as hard as I find it, but most of the boss battles in Dead Rising 2 are pretty insane. Especially Randy.

More specifically, remaining a pacifist vegan in nethack.

Some day... Some day we will all burn for this.

I mean the implication that nothing else is important but iDevices. If something isn't included in that which is "universal" it either doesn't exist or doesn't matter. If it were "Apple-universal" or something more specific like that, it would have a different meaning.

I know. That's why I was all the more let down to learn that it wasn't actually universal. Apple really loves promoting snobby dickishness with its marketing.

Ahh, fair enough. I wasn't actually mad at McWhertor, just let down.

This is all I can think of whenever I see Big Dog.

I think your wording exposes some of the reasons why I say that trying to make some standard measure for game value doesn't work. It sounds like you and I were looking for completely different things from Portal 2. Key for me are the facts that it took you half of what it took myself (less than half what it took

I agree with your last point and expand it to say that there really isn't a standard even among games since each offers such a different type of experience. I should've made more clear that though I was employing the logic of standard prices for that last paragraph, I don't believe in it.

Was Homefront a good game? If it was then it was worth what you were willing to pay for it. If not then it wasn't a good game. You buy games for the quality of the experience not by a per minute measure. Since all games are totally different experiences, maybe 9 hours of Portal is worth the same as 100 hours of

This is the first installment in EA's "Huh!?" marketing campaign. It is to be followed up by an event where they will release Madden 12 one week early if 20 people send them different photos of Bret Michael riding or dressed as the Loch Ness Monster.

I just can't get on with this length vs. price thing. We're not talking about food portions at Applebee's; it's a game. You don't hear people saying that a song sucks because it's too short or a painting is garbage because it isn't large enough (the great artists really know how to fill up that wall space).
