The real world is that different people live different lives. Me liking comic books or video games hardly makes me socially inept. Don't get moody just because you dislike my taste in music.

Tempura is Japanese but teenage dumbasses are world-wide.

"After years of neglect as the Planter's backup mascot, Mrs. Peanut goes on a vicious terror campaign against the nut-shipping lines."

It sounds like you, my friend, are living by the wrong definition of nerdy.

I agree that it is silly not to just directly link to the article but the link worked for me.

I'm ready. Are you guys?

You're probably right but my hope would be that since Appleseed is so old/established, it would be less promotional material more it's own thing that would stick to the hardcore/in-depth spirit of the comic.

You have a poor understanding of suspension of disbelief. It has little to do with real science and more to do with obeying the laws the story world sets out. You show people getting punched around and getting up with no obvious signs of injury, that's story-world believable. You show me an essentially normal human

Now playing

This is a little more of my speed of nerdy music.

As I said to digisplicer, we have been conditioned by many years of action movies to ignore certain types of injuries such as Scorpion's spear (the sword thing less so, but I had already drifted from the series by the time they threw in the weapon gimic).

Versus someone's skull AND spine being shattered into dust and then they get up and keep going (bouncing about no less)? Hell right.

"imagine what it would look like if the bad guys were American. And the good guys. And neither side was really good or evil."

I dig the whole x-ray thing but it should really be saved for finishing moves/last hits/something. Every time the fighter get's back up after those I see an x-ray of Liu Kang shattering my suspension of disbelief.

Wouldn't it be more like Liu Kang and Johnny Cage? Kung Lao does even show up until the second game. Perhaps, he's more of a Fei Long.

Decent, but one question: what black people do white people talk to who use "yo" as a pronoun? Where did this thing start? I just want to get to the root of it.

Although there are a lot of similar themes I think the games are a little too different for a comparison. Their similarities are deceptively close.

This isn't an addition to Dwarf Fortress, this is an entirely new game based on Dwarf Fortress (and although I'm not a DF player, it looks like its a very different interpretation of the same idea; for one DF uses a top down view).

This looks interesting but I really just want to get a dwarf fortress with all the features and a more user friendly interface. I have spent years playing games like Nethack so I'm familiar with ASCII games but Dwarf Fortress is just too confusing, visually busy, and it takes too much for me to learn right now unless

Damnit! Before I could cleverly write "Alyx Vance, is that you?" I saw that you posted about someone else beating you to posting...

lol, you're probably right but that's not too different from most celebrity's careers: "I am moderately good looking and I _____. Fawn over me."
