Next time you’re playing a game, instead of thinking of immersion as making you feel like you’re the character you’re playing as, think of it as forgetting what’s going on in the real world. Puzzle games like Tetris can be just as immersive as any other game.

Can you give any examples of games that don’t try to immerse the player? I’m researching the topic and I haven’t been able to find any games like you’re describing.
