The last season of Parks and Rec was amazing, dammit.

“We Never Kill”

I remember back when Daisy was Skye and everyone despised her. What a difference a few years makes!

The different is that she was just a brainwashed kid who was pretty limited in her violent exploits. Talbot, on the other hand, was literally killing at will, destroying an entire city and was about to destroy the earth. Plus, they repeatedly tried to save Talbot before concluding he was too far gone and too dangerous

You should watch it, because it was fantastic. But it all takes place hours before the ending of IW — the penultimate episode showed the aftermath of the Battle with Ebony Maw, which means there is still probably a day left. The final scene takes place a day later, which means that there are probably only hours left.

First day here?

“I asked a question, and someone answered! Punish them! I conceded and they let me! Punish them!”

WTF? Gina Torres is a celebrity in her own right. Who the hell cares who her ex-husband is? That is some sexist shit right there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Avengers 4 in its time travel to undo infinity war ends up resurrecting Coulson anyway. So all the movie characters (and people who don’t watch the TV shows) will think he’s resurrected from the first Avengers. But on the TV show he’s just resurrected after just dying on Tahiti

It also fits very nicely with how they were able to go so dark with Fitz in the season’s second half, because the one we get after this won’t have any of that baggage anyway.

Blergh, I really have zero interest in a SHIELD with Mack as Director. He’s a whiny hypocrite about violence (tell me more about how murder is always bad, Mr Shotgun-Ax, Mr I’m The Guy Who Kills Gordan) who has never demonstrated the necessary flexibility to make the nuanced calls that a Director has to sometimes.

And what’s with this presumption that getting an illegal gun is easy?

Oh they won’t ban The Witcher.

I think the Witcher III is a pretty definitive test-case for this scenario. There’s definitely an anti-anime stigma attached here.

“Maybe we need to look into limiting the entrances and exits into our schools, so that we can have law enforcement looking at the people who come in one or two entrances,”

As is the beautiful pathos.

Yep. I can’t think of a better example of “generally solid filmmaker kicks it up another notch” than Pan’s Labyrinth. It transcends its “fairy tale images brought to the screen” origins in a way, say, The Shape of Water never really does. It’s not just an A+ effort, it’s probably among my top ten favorite films of all

On The Expanse on Wednesday there was a really sick burn by one of the characters about the Leader of Earth, basically saying that he only cares about his popular legacy and only takes issues as seriously as the last person to talk to him. Had it been a janitor he’d be decrying the state of the mops at the UN General

Prayer is worse than doing nothing. It makes the people who pray think that they’re doing something meaningful when in reality they’ve done nothing but whisper incantations to their imaginary friend. Want to help? Go give blood. Or fight the NRA. Something, anything real. Or at least just get out of the fucking way.

Is he fucking kidding? He’s pissed that a guy is wearing a fucking pistol and screaming that American needs prayers?
