I’m surprised to see no negativity here. I thought that was dreadful.

I would strongly argue that the central tenet of the original Thunderbolts isvillains trying to redeem themselves”, which, even ignoring all the stylistic and tonal differences, is very much not what Dark Avengers is about. But it doesn’t seem like we’re going to find much common ground here.

Pretty much. The original Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee series was pretty good, but once it was done, the character was done too. Bringing him back involves repeating the exact same beats again, or undoing the very thing that made him interesting.

And Iron Man is about a superhero with a big bank account. That’s Batman.

the Dark Avengers run that Sentry was a part of is essentially Thunderbolts under a different name

I suspect she’s an antagonist rather than a villain.

I mean, sure, it wasn’t the comics. If you wanted an adaptation of Master of Kung Fu, you didn’t get it. It was arguably closer in spirit to Iron Fist.

I don’t think it’s going to piss anyone off.

Kaitlyn Dever is “in talks” to play Abby Anderson

I don’t entirely disagree, but while it certainly fell into the trap of a unnecessarily over-the-top CGI-fest finale, even then it stood out by featuring two cool giant dragons instead of yet another selection of generic scifi explosions. Plus, as MosBen mentions, even in the midst of all that, it never lost sight of

It’s more “keep what brings in enough viewers to warrant the cost of making it, not what a tiny minority is obsessed over”, and thus has it ever been, for every service. The only exception is if a show is so acclaimed and/or widely discussed that it brings attention to the service without gaining many views for itself

If this means Shang-Chi 2 shows up sooner, I’m all for it. The first was far and away my favourite Marvel project this side of Endgame (and I’ve liked most of phases 4 and 5 thus far).

The most annoying thing about that is that it looked like they had a very nice and very habitable planet that was not Earth.

I don’t think Secret Invasion ever names Tarnax. It ends with mention of a potential Kree/Skrull peace treaty, but there are no specifics — perhaps it’s a different treaty with a more optimistic Kree, now that Hala has been restored.

More than likely on the list is: Cassie Lang, as she alludes to in the movie, America Chavez, Skaar, and Ironheart.

Did All of the Tarnax IV Skrulls go to New Asgard? After the events of Secret Invasion is Earth at large suddenly just totally fine with a bunch of Skrulls showing up in Norway?
I’m guessing it’s the other way around. The Marvels is set shortly after Ms. Marvel (which I believe places the initial body swap just a week

According to the agreement, consent is not required in most cases if A.I. is used for a litany of changes post-production

And why did Monica have to seal the rift from the other side?

Only bad CGI i noticed was the Statue of Liberty

Which didn’t fill me with confidence, to be honest. It suggests that they’re really going to fold a bunch of alternate realities into the not-616 at the end of Secret Wars, which is such a dramatically unsatisfying approach.
