Martin and Rothfuss should make a deal to wrap up each others’ series. I bet it’d come much easier to them than finishing their own.

I can’t see this adaptation being a success. I enjoyed the short stories, but they’re kind of slight and lacking in the political intrigue that is the main series’ (and House of the Dragon’s) bread and butter.

Warner Bros Discovery, obviously. It’s a licensed game.

Hate to break it to you, but Rocksteady never owned the Arkham world either.

“We thought this would be like those Batman games”

My guess is that it’s Fall of X(avier), and hopefully Krakoa survives without him for at least a few more years.

I would expect that there’s more logic to it than has been revealed so far. It’s a admittedly a strange choice of set up, but it’s also a direct continuation of Si Spurrier’s Way of X and Legion of X, and they’ve been terrific, so there’s plenty of reason to be optimistic.

There are at least two rape/attempted rape scenes (Marsellus in Pulp Fiction and the comatose Bride in Kill Bill) though. Not sure how much we want to read into that.

Pretty sure it’s the people who should be imprisoned in that scenario.

I think what was planned was that after two seasons, Boba Fett would’ve taken over as the titular Mandalorian, and after his story was complete, Bo-Katan would’ve taken that role. But Baby Yoda makes money, so they’ve wound up in this weird mess where Din and Grogu are somehow positioned as the lead characters,

Plus, the flashback where she explicitly finds out the details occurs around a third of the way through the game — you certainly don’t go through most of it not knowing.

To be fair, it took a fair old while to get that far, and there were plenty of Imperial remnants to deal with in the meantime.

To be fair, Tony gave up being Iron Man only to still be Iron Man the next time we saw him for like three movies in a row, and no one really complained about it. Repeating character arcs is maybe not a huge concern.

For me, that doesn’t feel like a satisfying season ending. I mean, are you suggesting that they somehow manage to get to that point, through all of Abby’s flashbacks and a trek across the country, without revealing her true goal? Or that we know what she wants, but stop (for a year or more) right before she gets the

Agreed. A bridge season covering the flashbacks linearly, taking the opportunity to expand on life in Jackson, and then adapting the main narrative of Part II in season 3. It just makes sense.

Zachary Levi. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Florence Kasumba. Djimon Hounsou. Randall Park.

I gave up halfway through season 1, so I don’t speak with any authority, but I think the critical consensus has already settled on it being pretty good (although the finale could still shit the bed, of course).

I don’t think we can assume that SWORD has been shut down. It’s possible SABER is just the name of the station, rather than the name of the organisation running it. Or maybe SABER is Fury’s group, and it’s independent from (or a subdivision of) SWORD. Or maybe SWORD has been renamed (after merging with Fury’s group?).

Exactly. It could’ve done with an extra scene after Strange’s first meeting with Wanda, where he goes to SWORD and/or Westview to find out what happened and gets a two-minute exposition dump.

If you haven’t seen WandaVision, it’s also written so...
