I’m pretty sure they’re already doing something to Sigourney Weaver’s voice to make her sound younger.

Ahead of the release of Avatar: The Way of Water last year, director James Cameron talked at length about his desire to ensure the franchise’s teen actors (such as Bass and Spider’s actor Jack Champion) don’t drastically age up between sequels, which he called “the Stranger Things effect.”

I’m a first day like first 250 subscriber

I wouldn’t describe it as something he struggles with, so much as something that he’s not especially interested in. He’s more about the big ideas, and that’s fine because he’s great at them.

It was.

So essential that all references to it have been purged from the movie that randomly introduced the idea.

Eustace Scrubb reminds me of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie before its panicked redesign. Why would you give human eyes to a creature that shouldn’t have human eyes?

What mythology is necessary for Highlander?

There were a lot of annoying things about Ad Astra. I don’t remember the last time a movie was that well-reviewed and yet left me with such a strong sense of “the emperor has no clothes”.

I believe they have different origins. One was an accident, and one was experimentation.

I say bring back both of them and toss a coin to decide which one is playing Betty in any given scene. Don’t lampshade it though. Don’t acknowledge it at all.

There was that business where they offered the white male co-writer waaaaaaaay more than the Asian female co-writer for the sequel and she quit as a result. She was offered around a tenth of what he got, supposedly because of his seniority/experience — which might make sense for the first movie, but unless their

Actually, there’s apparently another three Has Fallens in the works.

God knows. There’s a lot of arbitrary metrics in play to claim John Wick as unique here (a couple of my examples are just outside of the decade cut-off for example).

So where are the original franchise films geared at non-animation or horror fans in the past decade? There’s one. John Wick.

You think if he didn’t get a screenplay credit then he wasn’t involved in developing the story? The extended versions of Batman V Superman and Justice League are Snyder movies through and through, and are still full of stuff that doesn’t add up.

Which white men have been accused of similar things and not faced immediate calls to be cancelled?

“A sci-fi thing at this scale does require a lot of attention to make it all make sense.”
So sayeth Zack Snyder, whose sci-fi things at this scale definitely make total sense.

I suspect it’s more that Black Adam can be an anti-hero in his own film, but if he goes up against Shazam, he must ultimately lose that fight.
