I had the same feeling at first, as I was used to game-Joel just fucking up dozens of people. But in real-life terms, he and Ellie at this point have spent...what? 3 or 4 days together? Less than a week certainly. And she’s seen him kill two people with his bare hands and shoot two more. I think that’s a pretty

But that’s kind of the bad argument against people complaining about inaccuracies about swords or something in fantasy novels. “You can accept wizards and dragons but you can’t accept swords acting different from reality?” Just because a work includes some fantastic elements doesn’t mean that the normal stuff

Lol The Last of Us 2 ruled.

“We were able to stop the hip gyrations but I’m afraid the vocal changes are permanent. Do you understand what we’re telling you?”

“Uh-huh-huh.”

Troy Baker did the motion capture, along with the voice actor for Sarah. Along with basically (or all?) of the voice actors. This is an embarrassing article. If you watch the behind the scenes making of the game documentary you’d see how much time was spent and what Troy Baker went through to voice and motion capture

Did Baker fuck his wife or something? Had to throw in “vastly” too. Uh ok? I played TLOU, Uncharted 4, and Bioshock 3 all within the same window of time and had NO idea until afterwards that Baker played the main/main-ish (Sam) character in all 3. He is very talented.

I think an audio cue of Joel and Sarah screaming as Joel’s expression changes before charging the guy, instead of a full-on visual flashback, would have been less patronizing to the audience while still achieving the same effect of saying “this guy has trauma and this is why he scares people”.

“but in an emotional association that’s wholly new for the HBO show, Joel, being held at gunpoint, flashes back to the soldier who killed Sarah and tried to kill him, before charging the FEDRA officer and beating him to death.”

Can I just say I hate it when shows do this? Like...the show established that tragic event

I think the difference here is the subject. Your comparison of training makes sense until you re-apply that person’s effort. You can probably do some convincing monet if you try long enough, you cannot however make a billion copies of yourself and rent them out for Monet requests all over the world.

Sure. The question, though unintentionally, is a strawman. It assumes that A) all the AI is doing is what artists do, and B) we would be fine with any artist doing what the AI is doing.

Both are wrong.

Because that’s not what the AI is doing, not what artists do, and using AI as a responsibility-launderer for the

That update fromUnstable Diffusion is super gross. What are they creating. AI generated art doesn’t create anything out of nothing. It needs art to exist. you’re not creating, you’re stealing.

I get it can be difficult to understand when you lack the imagination and expertise to make something yourself.

I am very thankful that no one protested the use of computers to generate art a few decades ago”

Being as there is already more pornography on the internet than any human could ever consume in a lifetime, I can only assume the point of training computers to make more on demand is to produce material so depraved and evil no person will, or can, produce it on commission.

Could these AI’s be created without the data sets?

Everyone gets that AI art is a tool that can be used for good or ill. But what a lot of us have a specific problem with is some big corporations that seem to be using it quite specifically for ill on an extremely large scale. They’re hoping that the popularity or simple lack of regulation of their monetization plans,

Seriously, when humans create art they don’t literally layer a bunch of picture one on top of the others and start tracing over the bunch of them using smoothing tool to better blend their features.

If it’s this easy for you to reduce art theft to a single clause in a multi-paragraph speech about how only a big, mean, meany would say anything negative about images created purely by a machine with zero human touch, it kinda makes me doubt your whole “I’m an artist” thing.

$300 or less? In what world?

I really hope the show gives us a scene where Dedra, Syril, and his mother are sitting at a table together, and we get a weird power play fight between Dedra and his mother while Syril just sits there like a kid watching Mommy and “Imperial Mommy” fight.

Several predictions and hopes: Luthen will wind up doing one of several things, any of which would make narrative sense for him and continue to develop Andor in the direction he has to go: making a mistake and sacrificing himself for Andor, doing something really dastardly and forcing Andor to kill him, or perhaps
