Have you tried the SE? I felt the same way, (the new sizes are like bars of soap, way too big) but the SE is perfect :)

I guess it’s similar to watching a tense sports match with friends- you just get up. Maybe your subconsciously trying to get ahead, physically? I’d be more worried if you stood up while playing solo ;-)
