Why is minding one’s damn business hard? I mean really. If you’re not paying for it or it isn’t impacting you, why the hell should you care?

It’s been announced everywhere, it’s just embarrassing that Mike even linked to one without noticing

Crysis Remastered was officially revealed over 2 months ago, did you not even check the Crysis twitter account you linked to?

I’m so glad I don’t have a twitter thread like this, people popping in to say “I remember that asshole, still at it huh”.  To be such a notable piece of shit, that’s kind of amazing.

“We do not make exceptions for political or newsworthy content...”

Shots fired at Twitter, which has had its “public interest” exception/disclaimer going strong for the past 3 and a half years to absolve itself of its own self-stated responsibility.

This is true of any RPG. If you wait a year, you’ll get a much more polished product with numerous QoL improvements and expanded features and content.

Origins is still one of the best. The only thing that hasn’t aged well is the visuals, but the rest is still top tier.

It doesn’t though. It gradually introduces you, and doesn’t even really have that many mechanics or tutorials compared to most other rpgs.

This game seems to take more influence from Obsidian styles games (RPG rules and mechanics with an emphasis on player choice and dialogue) over immersive sims like System Shock, Deus Ex or even Prey, where the focus is on designing levels and worlds that the player can experiment with however they so choose.

I created an account entirely so I could reply to you; finally someone who agrees with me on that game. Compared to Origins especially...ugh, what a disappointment!!

I love stealth in first person cause it is realistic. I like coming around a corner and straight into a guy I didn’t notice. I will say that dishonored has the best first person stealth ever.

With the amount of “physical augmentation” options that are apparently present, I can imagine that a 3rd person version of this game could quickly turn into a nightmare to handle.

It was never shown off in third person, ever. The very first mentions of the game said that CDPR planned it for both 3rd and first person, but by the time they had actually any real material to show, it was all 1st person. Most likely they discovered that the 3rd person just didn’t work for what they were trying to

Dragon Age Inquisition overwhelming? I dunno what to tell you man, but it was underwhelming if anything. If you find that game overwhelming I’d imagine that most rpg’s would be overwhelming for you. There really wasn’t much to that game.

Drow culture is ... violent, backstabby, yet highly disciplined, and intelligent. The Salvatore novels did a lot to describe their complexity. Their skin tones range anywhere from black (not real-world human pigment of dark brown) to bluish/indigo. I find it difficult to picture them as a stand-in for any on-earth

Warcraft lightly addressed the issue before this, with the orcs turning out to have been manipulated by demons and some self-interested collaborators not to mention the race actually being shamanistic as a whole... Which may or may not be better overall but still getting away fromthe Tolkien-rooted Ebil Ork stereotype.

This seems like people being afraid of history again. Is it good or bad? I don’t care. I’m not here to argue whether or not Americans are afraid of the word Savage lest they remember that their country is built on blood and burial grounds, just like everyone else’s.

Weirdly in D&D “Races” are actually different races... where as the term Racism is typically used in the real world to refer to other members of the same human race...

New Line... the house that Freddy built. The studio that made TMNT when every other studio idiotically passed. The studio that finally gave Tolkien’s works the adaptation they deserved. Now they are a subsidiary of Time Warner media (*barf*)  It’s almost as sad as what happened to Orion pictures.

This was my original reason for hating Harvey. There’s a reason people call him Hack/Hachet Job & Harvey Scissor hands. Wanna see what I mean? Watch the Weinstein cut of The Grand Master. Dude took the movie’s achronological narrative and recut it into chronological order... utterly destroying the entire fucking
