Is that Julian second from left?!
Is that Julian second from left?!
This just in, Brendan Rogers to be sacked and replaced by Roy Hodgson.
But who will be the cheap broken CDM on my FIFA team if Ramires is in China? God damn it, the Chinese ruin everything!
Block Lives Matter
I liked this alternate reality that never existed better too!
You’re in the wrong place; this isn’t New Jersey or Philly sports talk radio.
Listen, you seem to be the best in the business... and you still need help from the police! I’m not saying it’s your fault, but doesn’t that say something about the system if the absolute best still need help from the cops to do basic forensics?
Your second paragraph is spot on. Seems like we’re in agreement. In fact, the solution might be making it easier for victims to report ASAP to the police, whether through the internet, general outreach, etc.
But where’s Bumgarner?!
You can do rape kits?! And fingerprints? And semen/blood samples on objects? On a college campus? That’s an incredible set up you have there.
“Of course that involves fixing how the police and the courts handle rape, but I still think it’s better to fix one broken system, a public one for which it is easier to have accountability and oversight, than trying to fix two broken systems, including one made up of a constellation of thousands of public and private…
Then what is your solution?
I mean, what is your proposed solution to the first example? I’m assuming the investigation hasn’t finished because the person hasn’t been expelled, so what would you do?
That’s an important and underrated point. Misapplied laws rarely encourage good practice.
“Most of the time, that conviction will never come” which is why I said to fix the police (and the courts; I thought that was implied). If someone commits rape, they should be sent to jail, not just expelled from school. If someone isn’t a rapist, they shouldn’t be expelled or discipline. This system does wrong by…
Involved doesn’t mean an investigation. What would you propose they do in your scenario?
Wait what? The need for a lower standard of proof is a pretty messed up reason for a court’s existence. Also rape victims are always private in the court system.
This passage highlights exactly why institutions of higher learning shouldn’t be in the business of adjudicating rape: “Every rape victim wants what campus activists are asking for: a fair investigation, counseling to help with their trauma, a home where they feel safe, people who listen.” They can and should have all…
I think you mean: Mickey Mantle could have been so much better if he didn’t tear his ACL, Mickey Mantle was actually drunk/hungover/tripping balls when they did that thing.
3) How could you forget that oven mitts only fit women’s hands?! Clearly you’re not qualified to be a member of the GOP (grand orange puppet) campaign staff.
