I’m not a fan of the floating hand in games. You do all this work to make it immersive, but the hands don’t have a wrist? I get that the wrist will block the view, but I have wrists in real life and yeah, sometimes they are in front of my face, but I somehow manage.

“you said you had protection!”

Sexiest part of this article is that it’s somehow not a slideshow.

There’s one theme I’m missing in all the reviews this week: “What is a child worth?” and of course the different answers of Henry (everything) and Kathleen (nothing, because everybody dies). And after losing one child already, it’s of course a big deal for Joel, too.

With Kathleen’s old childhood room and the

So you’re telling me the battle in Kansas City, where FEDRA lost, happened like a week before Joel and Ellie showed up? How convenient.

I’m imagining a scene where Cal starts yelling “they’re animals! and I slaughtered them like animals!” to his love interest

I’ve said this before but fuck it, it needs to be said again and again until people get the message. I will die on this hill.

Toy Story 5: The Return of the King.

The real friends are the ones we can never get back oh god Buzz

Ridley Scott will keep making Alien prequels unless we agree to his demands.

That might be the meaning she assigns her royalty checks but it’s not necessarily the reality of things. Not everyone - in fact I would dare to say it’s the vast majority - do not think twice about the artist when purchasing a book, a game, or going to a movie.

Someone needs “The Annexation of Puerto Rico” shoved up their ass right now for leaving off “Little Giants.”

The Replacements and Little Giants - two of my favorites - are missing.  I would also argue Draft Day is better than many of these.

I DON’T WANT YOUR LIFE!

What, no Varsity Blues???

The Replacements is a glaring omission.

Controversial pick but I stand by you guys for making Air Bud 2: Golden Receiver #1.

You’ve got a pretty good handle on it but DA2 is much more about “combos” - i.e. using abilities on people to trigger other stuff. There’s a bit of this in DAO but it’s basically minor and incidental. On the harder difficulties you need to use them or you will not succeed.

Agreed. If anything the DA series is all about taking risks. It makes pretty big changes between each game, and I think that’s part of what makes it exciting. It’s not an Assassin’s Creed, where you get mostly the same thing with a new setting each time. People that still want that CRPG style have it in Baldur’s Gate

THE biggest example of a sequel changing fundamental aspects of its predecessor would be (in my opinion) Mass Effect 2, and wouldn’t you look at that? People call that the best game of the franchise, and one of the best (so called) “RPG’s” ever made.  Dragon Age Origins is clunky and it needed changing, it’s never
