I went back and played a lot of my favorite RPGs during the pandemic and made a conscious effort to start using other party members and it’s greatly improved my experience with my favorite games.

It’s a Bioware game, so you have to play all the companion quests to get the most out of the story. On top of that, it’s a Dragon Age game, so the game is chocked full of references and call-backs to the other games (I’ve noticed this much more than in other series).

Having never played the game and judging this entirely on the screenshots included in the article, it looks like a game where Sora and Luxord from Kingdom Hearts beat up Phoebe from Friends.

Star Wars does love itself a legend that can never die, after all.

I’m glad it was Luke. It couldn’t have been anyone else. If the movies are what dictates the primary struggle of the Star Wars universe, it had to be Luke. Ahsoka being absent from the entire runtimes of Episodes II - IX disqualified her and no one would know who Ezra (or Cal Kestis) was. Luke was the only choice and

Go look up the narrator for BBC’s Seasons documentary, learn that guy’s face, and swap it out for Ellis’s. Dude sounds enough like Cullen that I had to look it up to see if he’d played him in DAI.

There were some Jar Jar-centric episodes of Clone Wars that were also dumb.

Forgot to include every DBZ game.

It’s only story worthy on a website about gaming news, yes.

Yea! Kotaku should stick to sports!

I mean, there’s a reason a lot of us are “in the box”.

Twitter is just the vessel. Like, if they said this face to face, behind closed doors, there’s no story. But if they said this face to face in the middle of a staff meeting or on a DA panel at a convention, it would still be a story.

Inquisition is probably my favorite of the three. It’s got a good story, it’s beautiful, but mostly, it does so much more to build the world than the previous two.

Do you like Star Wars? If so, you’ll like the show. You get to learn more about the world of Star Wars without drowning in people related to Anakin or Palpatine.

Ahsoka’s not allowed to train Grogu because she’s been eternally relegated to behind the scenes activities since Clone Wars ended.

There were probably people who felt similarly when TWEWY showed up in KH3D.

First off, you can go straight from TFA to TROS because JJ unwrote TLJ in the first 20 minutes of the movie.

I just like stories. Gimme fun stories and I’m happy. I guess there’s a slight edge to JRPGs because, while WRPGs are mostly serious, you can have innocent, adorable, fun series like Kingdom Hearts OR you can wallow in your depression while playing NieR.

Any chance we think it’s Sora from Kingdom Hearts? They’ve got a game coming out on the Switch.

I’d play DAI while you wait. It covers a lot of the lore referenced in the first two games (sometimes revising it). I started replaying all of the DA games when the pandemic shut everything down and, after playing DAI a couple of times, everyone in the first game sounds ****ing stupid when talking about anything
