Are you kidding? People have had to write entire articles to explain what the slogan means and if you read any two of them... you get a different answer.

To combat a nakedly partisan Supreme Court.

Yeah, that doesn’t make sense to me either. Not unless it’s a two-thirds majority, which isn’t happening no matter what.

It’s true— the socialist label hurts Democrats. It’s also true that the Democrats need to get more progressive in order to survive.

I don’t see how they would. I’m pretty sure the only information released about mail-in ballots is which candidate they went for. I doubt we are getting any other voter info. That may be available well after the election, stripped of identifying information, for poll analysis.  But not yet, I’d think.

Yes, actually.

It’s not surprising at all. Whatever the actual reality is, Collins has been able to at least pretend to be an old school Republican. She goes through the required motions of acting like she’s agonizing over a tough trade-off between high-minded morality and following Trump (before following Trump anyway). So her image

They won’t so much “follow” them into the flames and walk willingly into them when their Republican leaders tell them to.   I mean, you don’t actually think the leadership and the 1%-ers are going down with this ship do you?  That’s what the peasantry is for.

Gee... anyone placing bets on which country the robocalls are coming from?

This was a credentialed dickwad though. They need to issue a warning to the group that sent him.  Not sure what the law allows them to do but there’s gotta be something there for repeated efforts to obstruct the election by an organized group.

What they are allowed to do is pretty minimal. In most states, I think they are not even allowed to approach a voter. If they have a problem with someone they have to take it to a poll worker in charge and they have to have some kind of evidence like they know somehow you aren’t allowed to vote in that precinct or

Right?  Republicans aren’t even really putting much effort into their lies anymore.  Almost makes me pine for the good old days where they at least gave it some effort to hide what they were doing.

Yeah, I probably should have realized that was rhetorical. But the venting helps me.

Ah yes, the GOP does love the classics.

It’s worse than that. I voted in Texas and while waiting in line outside the polling place saw an old couple drive up to the door, park, get out, and wait while a voting machine was wheeled out to the curb for them to use.

Pretty fucking rich they are going with an “equal protection” argument after that asshole Abbott restricted Texas counties to one ballot drop box each. That’s not “equal” when one county has 4.7 million residents and another could fit everybody that lives there in a single, decent-sized auditorium.

And of COURSE they didn’t arrest anyone because the fucking pigs love this. Nevermind that it’s a federal crime to block someone from voting (and probably a state crime too).

GOP: You can vote if you are the right people

Yep. They know because it’s close they only need to affect things a little to tilt things in their favor. So they’re just throwing all sorts of shit against the wall. If any of it sticks, they probably win.
