There are also a handful of states where party affiliation is not part of voter registration at all. Also, most states that DO register party affiliation are more blue than red. So I expect a slight majority of that missing 24 percent may be voting Republican rather than Democrat.

And then he put the absolute worst version of it on there, I’m assuming because it has the lowest price.

Yeah, this is part of the Resolute Desk’s rich history now:

Yep, the bar really is this low.

Similar. I didn’t really start paying attention to politics until Dubya’s first term because, as a white man who was raised in a middle-class white suburban househ0ld, I had the luxury of not having to care about politics.

Well it IS a Kavanaugh-like character assassination, but only because it sounds like he’s pretty much a Kavanaugh-like character.

And all of this is even funnier because during a Trump campaign rally in Florida the president kept referring to Gaetz as “Rick”—which must be his work name.

I mean, add it to the list of Democratic atrocities:

I was gonna say. Matt Goetz got up in front of a mic at the RNC and seriously said Democrats would “lock you in your home and invite MS-13 to live next door.”

I would replace “might” with “will” there. Trump has pretty much given Republicans a blueprint to improve upon. They’ve seen now how easily manipulated so many people are even with obvious lies and bombastic nationalism. Couple that with someone who actually isn’t as dumb as Trump (read: literally anybody) and it will

There’s no way this isn’t another super-spreader event with the way most of the crowd is sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with no space between the rows. Some, maybe even most do appear to be wearing masks, but that only goes so far when you’re sitting packed in like that in an inside environment. There’s probably enough

I can’t shake the feeling we’re going to see establishment Dems want to drop it in the name of unity or healing or some bullshit sentiment like that.  Meaning nobody will have learned anything and we’ll see someone just pull the same shit next time, knowing there’s ultimately no consequence beyond losing an election.

The only thing polls can give you is probability, not certainty. To say the polls got it wrong last time is like complaining it rained when the weatherman told you there was a 30% chance of rain.

This is what a lack of empathy does to a person. Most conservatives have no functioning ability to empathize. They do not understand pain and suffering until THEY are the ones suffering it.

The health guidelines were the problem. It’s been known for a while now that 6-feet is not magic, especially INDOORS. But the health guidelines in many places have either not caught up or are being actively fought against by political and economic interests.

I agree he was trying to be sarcastic there, but it falls a bit flat when we all are pretty sure he really DOES view them as the good old days for real serious.

Well... that was certainly a reply.

I’m confused why they are being “told” to remove them instead of being arrested on the spot for election fraud.  Is this not a crime?

Well first, I never have and probably never will play any of those games.
