I may have missed it but I am surprised that there isn't more discussion about how horrible the child actors are on DA. Sybil, Marigold, George … they are all really stiff and uncomfortable on screen and bland to boot. Not a one of them actually seems to engage with the adults in a convincing way.

Watched this episode with family last night and we all agreed it was the best episode of the season so far. The flashbacks weren't overdone. Dandy was appropriately creepy. The Twisty back story reveal was genuinely touching. Elsa as snuff-film victim was bizarre and wholly unexpected. Paul (The Illustrated Seal) gave

Start with "Seventh Seal". It is THE Bergman film that must be seen. If it whets your appetite for more Bergman then branch out from there. Personal favorites: "Through a Glass Darkly", "Wild Strawberries", "Summer with Monika", "Fanny and Alexander". Often overlooked but IMO brilliant is "After the Rehearsal," a

When Gus said that the vampires should have looked at each other and said, "Maybe this *isn't* the guy we want. Wake the ancients."

Gus' dialogue made me groan…even more than I normally groan at the
dialogue in this horrible show. Nora singing on the rooftop…made me
want to jump off a rooftop. It's amazing to me that every bit of writing
designed to make the audience feel something is so poorly realized on
the screen that it just comes across as

When the Vampire Good Guys appeared was the last time I gave a shit about this show. I thought, "Oh, this could be interesting!" Then …. nothing. No follow-up whatsoever in, like, five weeks. Just Alzheimer's lady (needs to die), Zack (kill him before his terrible acting kills us), Kelly (don't care, never did, never

Every last tongue thrower misses the first time if it *might* enhance the drama (it never does) of the given scene. When an unnamed character (driver of the prison van, for example) needs to die, the tongue thrower can get a first shot hit, no problem. Yes. This show sucks. And that isn't even a vampire show pun. It's

Speaking of the UV lights… Just before Whatsherface goes into the tunnel there is this part where they are all, like, "Oh no! There's too many of them!" … so she THROWS DOWN THE UV LIGHT. WTF? You have … what … four of these lights left and you throw yours on the ground because maybe right now, at this particular

This is the worse show on television and I'm losing faith in the A.V. Club that they are giving it A's and B's now. Maybe "Dutch" Whatever (hacker girrrl) is changing the reviews after A.V. Club posts them?

The triangle-shaped badges were used to classify or sub-classify concentration camp prisoners. Pink triangles denoted homosexuals. Red triangles denoted communists, political prisoners, and trade unionists. I don't know if Setrakian is homosexual or not but given his work as a craftsman I am guessing it was a red
