Pro careers are short because guys wear out. I don't think the players would like it. If a guy needs two or three years developing in a minor league, that's two or three years off the end of his career when he could be making NFL money rather than the peanuts a minor league would pay.

I expect nothing less from a Cards fan to believe in the premise (or “a idea” as you so eloquently put it), “like a better team.” I assume you like the Warriors and the Patriots. You are a great fan.

Better to have a gun and not need it than need one and not have it.

Granted that is a slightly confusing thing, but we aren’t that stupid.

YAY! Americans aren’t the only people in the world who don’t give a shit about studying other major countries culture and history!

I’m sure he does have a lot in common with Schilling. Sale was a big defender of Adam LaRoche (a birther gun nut) when LaRoche quit the team to “defend his family” earlier this year. That said, I don’t really think Sale was totally in the wrong to cut up those jerseys. I think it’s pretty funny, actually. Just

No good point. A couple teams expressing interest in him playing RT is all the evidence I need that you’re right. I also saw the Lions want to run the ball more, can you confirm this is the real reason Calvin Johnson retired?

Or maybe he felt he couldn’t get paid well enough given the risks he’s taking.

“ring” is literally a term in the basketball rulebook.

Would you also like to correct us on the use of elevator and car trunk?

Hi LegendLives. Could you please let Zach Bigalke and aninconvenientBluth know that all three of you are morons?

Hey guys, guys, guys... remember when the Browns paid six figures to a data firm to tell them who they should draft at QB? And then the firm said Tedy Bridgewater? And then they ignored that and drafted Manziel instead? I know we’re talking about hockey here, but I never miss an opportunity to bring this up.

“We can’t go to North Carolina. They’re socially backwards and perverted for their stance on what goes on in the bathroom. Let’s go the Penn State.”

So about on par with Gawker’s fact checking and editorial oversight?

So fine coaches for doing something within the rules? On what planet does that make more sense than just changing the rule?

Not acknowledging that there are benefits to athletics at all makes me discredit your opinion.

this is a bad take

Vince was an ass in college. Maybe all of these guys were, but he was personally an ass to me (in retrospect, maybe he was shy?

I’ve seen Drew Magary say FAR worse things about Mayo.

So with 9 years of hindsight, the obvious conclusion to draw is...Simmons was 100% correct here?
