Phased out, but slowly. They are also being modified with new radars and other systems, because there aren’t enough F-22s to take on the air superiority and defense role.

Dude, WTF? May I dare to ask how did you find that?

Why? It was meant for the people not cleared to buy the F-16.

Can you elaborate, because, what you wrote makes absolutely no sense. F-20 was meant to be a cheap export fighter and it got axed because F-16 was released for export to non-NATO allies. Also, Navy vs USAF.

Likewise. A little bit of high-profile leakage every once in a while is a healthy thing.

I’m not sure what do you mean, as Ecclesstone is British. And now, I just have to post this, because Panama:

I really don’t care about the fact that rich racing drivers shelter their money in offshore account; that’s 1960s-vintage news.

For us in the west, light infantry today is applicable to commando-style units one tier below the SOF units. Think of the airborne units, 75th Rangers, Royal Marine commandos, 10th Mountain and so on.

Is this the first time in history that an offensive by light infantry has defeated a well equipped armoured force of superior numbers? Because I can’t think of any.

And on the other side of that, you have the Iraqi army, the worst fighting machine known to a man. Airsoft warriors led by the keyboard HQ would probably be more successful.

I never said anything about my military service, as I don’t feel the need to justify my opinions with that.

The whole idea is beyond ridiculous. It’s like saying that a top football player could have a chance at playing in one of the top 10 basketball teams, simply because both of them are owned by the same guy, with whom he is a good friend.

Ah, yes, the good old “You don’t know, you weren’t there, man!” argument. That doesn’t give a slightest bit of credibility to your absurd idea.

I disagree with that. They have only failed to defeat Britain; things were going very well for them in early-mid 42'. Autumn of 1942 was the real turning point of the war, in Africa, Eastern from and the Pacific. But even after that, they still had a lot of chance until the summer-autumn of 43'. Summer of 44' was a

Germans were winning until they lost it in the end, in many of the large battles post Stalingrad or Sicily. Normandy campaign, for example, for pretty uncertain for quite some time. And Kharkov was not a minor victory, it was a counteroffensive that paved the way for the battle that would finally send the Wehrmacht

That’s the best damn summary of this whole mess!

    Marshall plan, anyone?

All those predictions were well founded and there were genuine concerns that the coalition would suffer much higher casualties. Iraq, on paper, had the best equipped non-NATO or Warsaw pact military, along with the 8 years of combat experience in a total war and a domestic military industry to back it up.

If only they could have some variety in liveries.....all of the field is going to look the same. Especially so for those who are not hardcore fans.
