Territory is one thing, numbers are another. Comparison of the troop numbers and losses shows a big discrepancy against the Soviets, in both the Winter and the Continuation war.

Except that he is making the oligarchs who suit him richer and repressing those who don’t. And the public opinion is swayed towards him by a truly impressive propaganda machine called the state media.
F-104 sucks and a weird eurobeat video certainly can’t change that fact!
I’m not sure about that; I’d rather say that it is the Russians who are afraid At least that’s what their mutual history has to say about that.
Pushed out by whom? He holds absolute power, and every spark of opposition is immediately extinguished. He won’t nuke anyone as he is not afraid that he will go down. He has consolidated his power a long time ago and now he is trying to restore the international influence and the importance of Mother Russia.
The funny thing is, F-104 was actually a pretty good fighter-bomber with Luftwaffe; when it didn’t crash.
OK, what about Crimea,Donbass, Trans-something in Moldavia and funding of radical parties across the Europe (like that one in Hungary)?
Shit, our latest 5th gen fighter isn’t yet in service, and they are thinking of a 6th generation aircraft!? I wonder what would commercial for F-35 look like? Probably like this:
Humor is weak in this one.....
I agree, sometimes he does show a bit of bias, mostly in the articles regarding the things where DoD is screwing things over. But as you said, it is his opinion, not a biased writing.
I really hate it when they link articles from Jalopnik/Black Flag/Foxtrot Alpha to Jezebel. Once I’ve made a harmless joke on a usual Jalopnik post, next morning I had several dozen notifications from angry feminists who can’t take a joke. Jezebel is a cesspool, a great example of the internet’s bad side.
Sometimes, a photo is a lot better argument and sends a stronger message. My original reply to Andrew was saying that NATO didn’t announce this earlier as they had....cue in that photo. That’s a pretty strong message.
Just for saying that F1 and WRC sucked in the 90s, I’m gonna tell you to fuck off and stop being butthurt on the internet. I’m not gonna try to change your depressive, pessimist mind.
“the world”. There was peace on international level. Sure, the monstrosities in Yugoslavia, Rwanda, Somalia, Chechnya and Afghanistan were dominating the news, but the world in general felt a lot safer. Nowadays, a westerner cannot go into Middle East or Africa north of Equator without fearing for his head.
Yes, it is. Authors moderate comments, and since this is not a Tyler’s post, I very much blame the author - Michael Ballaban.
Can you see it? I can see it now, through the notifications, but when I open this article, all I see is Andrew’s comment and Ballaban’s reply to it.
Except that Foxtrot Alpha is free-for-all; at least that’s what Tyler wants it to be. That’s what separates Foxtrot Alpha (and perhaps Jalopnik as a whole) from the rest of the Gawker media.
I can’t see either of them when clicking on the article, but I can see it as show pending when going through my notifications. A glitch in the matrix or am I about to get grayed?
Somehow, it’s gone now. NSA got me.
