    Diesel 911! Because fuck everything!

It was Paganini. If you’re gonna tell the story, tell it right.

Yom Kippur war was a culmination of the events that had started prior to the Six Day war. You are underestimating the political power of the nuclear weapons and the importance of the Middle east, which was, at the time, a Soviet stronghold. The resulting oil crisis is the best proof of that, along with the fact that

    Thank you very much! Salute:

The only thing that prevented Israel from using nukes was the Operation Nickel Grass. And I don’t think they would’ve been morally justified to do so in a war where both sides were the bad guys. And if they have done so, Soviets would have intervened on the side of the Arabs and the world would have ended.

Hey Andrew, can you, please, get me out of grey?

Meo has been very impressive; even if he is an enduro legend, he is still a Dakar rookie. And he did win a stage, the one before the rest day. Same goes for the Despres in the car; he has really shown his talent in the dunes over the last two days. Svitko too; he has been very consistent over the years, but this year,

What you wrote is nothing but an insult to all those who compete and work at Dakar. Dakar is 14 days long, Baja is done within a day. Of the 500 competitors at Dakar, most of them are amateurs and privateers. The rules are written with the utmost safety for everyone involved, while providing an unparalleled challenge.

MINI is a diesel too. And the only petrol engined cars that are doing well are the Toyotas, so it is pretty clear that the Gordini is not a good car. And Peugeot has a superb car this year, a simple matter of engineering and budget, not any alleged cronyism from the ASO.

There has been a heavy proliferation of RWD buggies at Dakar since it came to South America. While Schlesser and Gordon have already done it in Africa, recently, Demon Jerrefies (Sainz, Al-Attiyah in 2013) and SMG (Sainz in 2014) were very competitive.

Damn, I remember watching the 98' Rally GB highlights as a kid and not believing what I’m seeing. But seriously, what are the odds? People like Peterhansel and Al-Attiyah seem to be blessed while the real nice guys like Sainz have to eat shit. I just hoping that he will do Dakar at least 2-3 more times. Vatanen did

Incredibly unpredictable race this year. I was thinking that it was going to be slightly anticlimactic with no Chilean or Peruvian stages, and that early Peugeot dominance but damn! 3 days to go and still, anything can happen, although, several important competitors fell out yesterday.

Unfortunately, he was just handed a 50 min penalty for stopping longer than allowed on the stage 9. The entire Honda team just can’t find any luck at Dakar. And while it sucks that KTM is going to win for a millionth time in a row, I’m happy for the Price as he has established himself as one of the top riders in the

I will agree with you about the Dakar coverage on Jalopnik this year. Nothing but a pure sensationalism, capitalizing on crashes, accidents and controversy.

They seem to have forgotten their own BS from 2014 when they were fooling around with team orders, not unlike what Ferrari did in 2002.

What really brakes my heart is the fact that Carlos Sainz was slapped by the bad luck again today. Every single time (with the exception of 2010) he was struck by some issues while leading the race, most of them not being his fault.

I have absolutely no clue what are you on about, but here is a Smart doing the Dakar for real:

This comes as a now surspirse. WRC drivers have always been fast from the words go on their first attempt at Dakar, but they have also shown the lack of experience in the dunes and with the navigation. It has happened to all of the racing legends who took on Dakar; especially in the last decade or so. McRae and Sainz

It sucks. I was really hoping that Honda could break KTM’s hold on the Dakar this year, but the poor luck struck again. Still, Goncalves is plowing on, with a strong chance of finishing on the podium again.

I wasn’t referring to the subs or the deterrent, I was referring to the nuclear weapons in general. A chance for a war breaking out between India and Pakistan in the near future is pretty strong, and even a chance for one between Israel and Saudi Arabia is very unlikely. And if such thing happens, we cannot count on
