The thought of having to watch any part of Event Horizon again scares the bejeezus out of me.

The whole metafictional device of leaving Susannah a note was really irritating as well. Cause having survived everything else, some insect man comedian ends their quest.
That's part of what I mean about King knowing the actual end and having trouble getting there. I accept the premise that Roland has to be alone in entering the Tower, but how that was handled…..
I agree, the end and the coda were very well done. I think it was clear though that he really didn't know how to get there while wrapping up all those plot points. I can let everything slide (including annoying meta fiction) except the artist character erasing the Crimson King.

Goliath is really well written and introduces a (tiny) bit of heart to the machines of the Matrix world. There's no logical reason to plug him back in…
Has anyone read his last 'kids' book, Odd and the Frost Giants? I like the Graveyard Book but remember thinking I wished it had been written directly for adults.
(..) and that is why the children of PS 109 are Morbo's 'Vermin of the Week'
