I've used Ubuntu on Desktops and Netbooks and my WiFi has always worked strait out of the box. No issues. If anything, it's been better than XP (still my base system at home).

Here's another tip - take a small tin mixed fruit (most brands do a peach/pear/pineapple option) and pour it into the empty barf bag. Then, if anyone is about to sit next to it, you can take a plastic spoon, dig into the barf bag, and start chowing down.

My guess here is that the correlation is more to do with what it takes for a person to report that they’ve been victims of a "crime". I think there are people for whom it takes a less serious action to report in this survey.
