I'll jump on the bandwagon that says that it came through as an auto-update. Haven't had any problems so far!

I don't know about anyone else, but if I've spent over $350 on a pair of speakers, I'm not going to take them apart.

I'm with vered on this one. I sleep so little during the week that I just love my weekend sleep-ins. I think I've still got a bit of 'student' left in me, as if I don't set an alarm, chances are that I won't wake up before about 3pm!

As someone who switched from Avant to FF3 on Download Day, I can assure you that I won't be going back. I loved Avant, but this really is a case of once you've tried extensions you wonder how you ever lived without them. I'll stick with FF3 for the moment.

Nice... I've been looking for an extension to replace WordWeb for a while now. I looked at 'Inline Google Definitions 0.5' a bit, but it's been out of development for a year and a half (yet for some reason, still works with FF3). So I think I'll stick with WikiLook.

That's from my phone? Ha! I always thought I was hacking into alien communication channels.

With regard to the "cold start" issue. I'll second the call to ensure that your engine oil iss appropriate to your driving conditions. If you're going to be starting your car in cold conditions, make sure that you're oil isn't getting too viscous in the cold. Modern engine oils have multigrade ratings, meaning that

Definitely a valid point. If you're interested, have a look at the psychological phenomenon known as the "Chameleon Effect", whereby some people unconsciously mirror the posture of others in order to promote smoother social interactions. On a side note, it's a phenomenon seen more often in extraverted people.

I do like the look of this. But in a kitchen for one, if I bought all these foods when I went shopping there'd be a hell of a lot of spoilage. However, I'm sure I could divide this into three seperate lists surrounding a 'core' list, to ensure that I get what I need all the time, and vary my diet around that.

That does look like fun. I'll stick with the example video, though. I'm getting just as much enjoyment out of watching what the app can do, without having to spend a lot of time playing around and making things that I'm sure would be far less cool than what's in the demo.

C'mon, Lifehacker. I think this is the third time that you've talked about the Caffeine Nap this year. Surely there are other napping techniques out there, that warrant attention.

Sad to see that there's no love for WordWeb. That's one that I love.

@Dooga: People have been "handedist" for years. Left handedness was long considered to be associated with evil. Even the clinical name for left handedness is 'sinistral' (i.e. associated with sinister things).

Just a quick note on the claims of this article:

@DavidBradbury: I've had good luck with Comodo as well. As far as free software firewalls go, I'm very happy with it.

I'll admit to having tried this. (I get bored often, and appreciate a challenge.) I had limited success with it. It's hard working out where EXACTLY the little clicks and bumps are. I didn't get it right on the first lock that I tried (but after finding out what the combo was, I hadn't been too far off), but I did get

Agreement with HeartBurnKid and MochaMatt. And there's a psychologival reason for this. Your degree of memory retention is related to how much you process it in your attempt to memorise it. By writing something down, it's being processed by many different areas of your brain, which can all be triggered to remember the

Oh god... He lost a $26,000 hedge fund in a year, but made hundreds of thousands gambling. This is not a person who's advice I feel like taking.
