Just one man’s perspective... I am a teacher. I have around 150 students each day I meet with in any given year. I work and teach high schoolers in central CA. I am not allowed to currently eat indoors. I am not allowed to have a drink at a bar indoors. I am not allowed to see a movie indoors. Yet, in less than 3

Considering how imprecise touchscreens can already be (and that the tests were right 50% of time - lol) no thank you.

It is not possible to reopen schools when you consider staffing needs. Many teachers will not return to face to face learning this fall. My children’s school district estimates 10-20% of faculty will not return. Of those that do, when they are infected they will require a 14 day quarantine at a minimum. So there will

If the asshat in chief wasn’t around, then at least educators and health officials could have a real serious conversation to figure out how to safely re-open schools, with plans to respond if there’s a rise in case.

I think the issue with schools is less about the kids getting sick (because the kids are less likely to get sick) but more about them infecting their teachers or family members.

I don’t see any flaws with this procedure.

Dark mode blows!

I think the problem with toilet paper is no longer hoarding - it’s the fact that more people are staying home and using more of the home-sized toilet paper rolls. Less people at work/schools/movie theaters/libraries/etc using the industrial-sized rolls (which are very easy to find in my experience, if you want them).

I remember thinking “huh, this seems pointless”.

The show just may not be your thing. I’ve been consistently laughing.

I’m so happy that someone is continuing the work that I began in 1987 at my 6th grade science fair.  I feared all of my research had been lost to the ages.

This isn’t new and has been going on for a long time, keep in mind some of the classes of wines we drink now were classified in other periods of abnormal climate. Changing varietals is something that was common then froze as we started to commoditiise wine more broadly.

“man who went to school for this sort of thing builds drone from materials” whoopty-doo.
