Thank you for not turning this list into a slideshow!

We adopted a baby girl from Russia in the 90s and felt it was important for her teachers to understand some of the issues that might come up. For example it is common for teachers to teach family history and ask them to build a family tree; however, adopted children don’t have the same sense of family as children born

Okay this is weird. For much of this past fall and winter a guy from FL (east coast) has been writing about all the various things he had done with water up his nose and could he have contracted a brain eating amoeba. It almost seemed like he was trying to find the best way to acquire the bug.  He’s been off the forum

Yes it cools off in the winter. In the summer it can get down into the high 90s.

It doesn’t absorb humidity, so Miami might not be the place to run a trial.  Las Vegas, Tucson, Yuma, and possibly Phoenix come to mind.

Was that letter written by ChatAI?

I see an overly inflated tax write off in his future.  (H)uge!  Like nobody ever saw before.  Bigger than real estate write offs.  Starting online companies with no future might be his future.

Legionnaires Disease.

Windex.  Seriously.

Not exactly a gadget, but I replaced the slow, physical hard drives on my daughter’s laptop computers with the new solid state drives. If you can remember where the screws go, it’s not that hard to follow someone else’s instructions on YouTube. You do need to clone the old drive to the new, but the end result was

Regressing back to Porky Pig?

There’s also a reason car companies don’t make a pickup bed with slanted sides. You can’t lay large stuff up against the side, because it wants to drift toward the back of the bed. Honda tried it, failed, and returned to conventional box design. This vehicle is a non-starter for me.

And since it is a Google product, you can ask it, “Bard, give me 300 words on my future purchases, bank statements, health issues, travel itinerary, and love life.”

I don’t know about some of these plants, but some are only invasive where the owner does not take care of it. Ivy? Sure it can crawl up a tree, but not if the owner tends to it. In Mexico I’ve seen pothos ivy climb a tree.

I have killed bindweed with 42% glyphosate.  Pour some into a bud vase and stick a strand of the bindweed into it.  Then leave it for 3 months or until the entire plant dies “suddenly.”  The one I killed was covering about 800 square feet and it only took one strand in the herbicide.

Do you know how high 60,000 feet is? What alternative methods would you suggest?

I heard popcorn called ultra processed once.  I supposed it was salted and had a preservative on it.

Ammonia cleaners are fine if you spray on the cloth first.  It’s the under-dribble that wrecks the back of the mirror, but if you spray only the cloth, it won’t do that.  But try vinegar first and see if it cleans it before using ammonia cleaners.

Yikes!! I wasn’t expecting that!
