I started hearing about CRT about the time Governor Abbott of Texas got the word that Texas’ most famous battle, the Alamo, was fought over the rights of Texians to own slaves. General Santa Ana, that brutal dictator of Mexico, of which Tejas was a part, had replaced the old constitution. The new constitution sparked

ALL the ways:

Editor: “Quick, Lizzy, I need 100 words on the topic of your choice.”

Except in this case we’re not talking about the difference between a drink and a pizza, we’re talking about different words for one animal. If the word opossum is used in Virginia, then it seems to expire at the Virginia border. There is a guy on YouTube who uses opossum, but it sounds so...ick when he says it.

I will buy a used tire when my tires are old and near the end of the warranty, AND I get a nail near the sidewall. I’m going to replace all 4 tires within a year, but I can postpone that financial agony with a $30 emergency tire. I’ve never had a problem with mismatched tires on the car.

Photos, YES; however, they have to be pertinent photos. I just read an article about “10 best” plants for privacy. The (worthless) pictures they showed were close up photos of the flowers. If you’re talking about privacy, the pictures should illustrate the ability to block vision.

Came here for 2 things.

One of the guys in my office in the 80s was a Swedish doctor named Ulf. It’s pretty tame compared to other oddball names.

Earthquakes are absolutely terrifying.

I haven’t done any research, but I have many observations. We adopted a child from Russia and merged into the Eastern European adoption support groups as a hobby. It does seem that children under the age of 12 most often will not have an accent as they learn English.

Have you ever shot a handgun? ...without ear protection? ...inside a steel can? ...with broken glass flying all around?  ...and deteriorating vision due to the broken windshield?  ...and the 60 MPH wind blowing in through the broken windshield?  In his head it seemed like a good plan until the first shot was fired.

Clearly Musk has never actually used a pickup truck for anything.  Honda and Chevrolet finally learned the lesson about slanting the sides of the bed.  Tesla has yet to learn the lesson.

This is a sad situation. My wife and her sister own a condo as a rental in a beach community. As a service to the renters, I created a notebook of QR codes linking to driving directions for points of interest (restaurants, art galleries, bait shops, etc.) and for the restaurants with online menus, QR codes linking to

You are mistaking safety (of the occupants) with the ability of the vehicle to roll.  The vehicle can roll and roll and roll and, if the occupants walk away unharmed, it’s safe.

^Yes, carrying a cup around! I had forgotten that lifehack. It’s been 50 years since college, but carrying a cup around was the trick that worked at every party.

Based on the replies to this comment, I’d like to reaffirm that yes, indeed, there are people who badger non drinkers. I’ve even received a “Coke” from someone which was spiked...as if I could not smell the difference before tasting it.  There are others who range from uncomfortable to suspicious of people who are not

Been there. I believe the reason for that is they are uncomfortable drinking alone.

Jony. WTF is up with that name? I pronounce it as a girl’s name, but I’m pretty sure he’s a dude. I can’t say for sure, because I stopped caring about Apple when Steve Jobs died.
