I vote this to be Permanent Quote of Jalopnik. More than quote of the year. It should replace Drive Free or Die in all article pages, except Jalopnik.com frontpage.

My dad currently has a Prius. Growing up though he had:

You got it exactly right. The BMW owner who tries to talk your ear off about his car’s V6 engine is clearly not an enthusiast, while the Camry owner can very much be a gearhead.

Honda Fit/F150 thing with expensive car owners is quite common it seems. Mazda3 is up there as well.

Car enthusiast and Camry driver here. as abysmal and soul crushing as it is to drive, at least it can get me to work when my project vehicles can’t. The Camry does not get the same love and attention though. Never washed or waxed in 6 or 7 years... Meanwhile my moped gets a clay bar every so often.

Saw the title, didn’t even need to see the argument. Of course you can be an enthusiast. If the only car you own is a Prius, you can be an enthusiast. Being an enthusiast isn’t about the car you own, it’s about the cars you want to drive.

It faster than a lot of “performance” cars today; looking at you BRZ...

Not to mention the V6 Camry is faster than a lot of “performance” cars from not that long ago.

Yeah. Many people have something sensible and reliable like a Camry. But the enthusiast probably takes care of it, cleans it, does maintenance on it and will still mash the pedal down on the those twisty, windy roads.

I’d sure hope so. There’s a ton of vehicles out there that aren’t enthusiast vehicles, but for whatever reason, they’re chosen as daily drivers by enthusiasts. Maybe the person enjoys small sporty cars, but it’s just not reasonable, at this stage of life, to have one. They can make for crappy daily drivers. There may

07 Camry, daily driver, boring, but never gives me problems, also am very much a car guy 70 Europa roadster 12+ year project

I use the good car bad car thing in my life. I have a ‘14 WRX and an ‘88 Wrangler. The features and handling of one car compliments and contrast the other and makes me appreciate the other.

Why not? No-frills and reliable daily driver while having a second “fun” car. I did that for a while, a Ranger for day to day duties and a Mustang GT for going for a cruise.

I told you guys Glock waz the best. In the background,

Yep. The belt & suspenders keyboard special ops member will take a break from posting online tech stats about the V8 RWD Amer’can veehicul covered in snow on their front yard to take another selfie holding a beloved Glock captioned with one of the following: he’s not my prez’dent, these colors don’t run, at 7 yards my

I am pretty sure Jerry Jones has been talking to Hernandez agent since the Pats cut him. Hernandez easily fits in with the ethical standards of the Cowboys organization.

No silly, he’s tied for life to the Oyalts.

Tattoo guns can be made from guitar strings and battery-powered walkman motors (last place I saw a walkman? when I worked in a prison.) As for the quality of prison tattoos, they range from absolute junk you’d be angry to have done with a Bic pen to gorgeous stuff with fine detail you’d pay thousands for at

This will almost certainly put him at odds with former teammate and notorious crip Wes Welker.
