I mean, if potential abuse is grounds for a recall, we’d have to recall every car ever made.

Passionate people who are enthusiastic about cars buy things like electric cars from start-up companies. Desirable products are key. This is obviously something that Mr. Musk understood when he started Tesla, and it worked.
America: Where it’s always someone else’s fault. (I totally agree with you, btw)
The fact that none of these private autonomous systems talk to each other nor are controlled by a central system to ease traffic is the #1 glaring reason you’re right. It’s just capitalism at its worst, in some aspects: all flash and wow, but the real problem isn’t solved.
I wish I could do this with my ‘09 Civic Si, but at 90k the engine already burns more oil than it has between oil changes, requiring adding more. :-( And it’s been babied it’s whole life.
If they stopped making the 747 today, we’d still see them in the air for decades. The article title is slightly misleading in my opinion.
Also just lower the carbs you intake.
As an Austin resident, I can firmly say that’s a no-go. They’re entrenched, awful and in the pockets of the lawmakers. Cabs work here about as well as calling a cab company in NOLA during Mardi Gras.
Austin’s voting population is notorious for being far less liberal than the city seems to be on the outside. Also, the way the ballot was written was ridiculous, and everyone thinks this is about safety, not politics.
Austin, where we’re all liberal-as-hell at the drum circle or at SXSW but practically Republican at the voting booth. This is the same city that voted down light rail in 2000 and 2014 and it sucks.
Just like the recording industry before MP3 and the phone industry before the iPhone, large stalwart companies are always afraid of the future and seal their own fate long before it happens.

Exactly. This whole “humanity was better in the past and never did anything we do today” bullshit is ridiculous. Correct my if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure humanity gets better in genearal as we progress forward in time, not backward.
Or just use a spray bottle for about the same effect.

GOD YES PLEASE BRING THIS TO THE USA. The CX-9 in its current form is meh from a design-standpoint. The CX-5/3 are gorgeous, and this concept is beyond gorgeous.
On top of the fact that my Nexus 5 flashlight toggle would enable the LED for a bit, then it would turn off and I couldn’t use the LED or the camera until I rebooted. Maybe the toggle disappearing bug was a blessing in disguise. :-)
The new Chromecast app has a little solution for you: It now shows what’s playing and allows you to pause/resume from there, and it’s always connected when I bring it up, even on an iPhone and even with the new Chromecast Audio.
